Busy Baby doesn't usually wear shoes, mostly because he won't. He
doesn't like you to have shoes on either.
We were at a party one time and there were a couple of little girls
several months older than he. The girls were sitting on the couch
watching a video and we were standing behind the couch talking. All
of a sudden, the girls started crying and we went around to the
front of the couch to find that Busy Baby had removed their shoes
and socks!
Anyway, he's gonna have to wear 'em sooner or later. This thought
has made me realize that I'm not sure we've ever bought him a new
pair. Third kid, and all. I hate that because with the others, I
made sure they had at lease one good, properly fitted new pair, it's
so important, espcially when they are little. So, we're in the
market for some little Busy shoes.
I recently became aware of Preschoolians kids shoes, they look
great and well designed, so we'll try 'em. Go take a
look!
Busy Baby will be "jellin' like a fellon" (OK, wrong foot
company).

Maybe the kid just isn't destined to wear shoes. I myself hate wearing shoes. Don't get me wrong: I lurve me some shoes. I just dont' like wearing them! *grin*
I hate wearing shoes around the house, they are the first thing that come of when I get home. Well unless of course I'm moving some boxes or furniture... I like my toes.
my little sister, who is 19 years younger than me, hated shoes when she was a baby. Everytime she saw them she would throw them with this disgusted look on her little face and make an ewww kind of noise. It was cute as hell. if you put them on her feet, she refused to walk...she'd just stand there and cry LOL.
She didn't seem to mind that others wore shoes, however.
My busy baby (just turned one) also hates anything on his feet. I live waaaaay north - it's essential that his toes remain covered so he doesn't get frostbite for half the year. We found some shoes called Robeez (check out http://www.robeez.com ). They're great AND he can't take them off. Just note that they're generously sized - so my 12 month old will be wearing the 6 - 12 month size for quite awhile still.
