Well, yesterday I was just frustrated at work. I guess I should learn to spell my exclamations so that they don't seem like a martial arts (no, I didn't say 'marital arts' that would be entirely different) sound effect, huh?
Anyway, on the radio this morning, I heard an interesing conversation about how men and women look at conversation. It was actually a comedian with a one-man show on the topic.
Using the age old "hunter-gatherer" model, he pointed out that the hunters (men) must "zone in" on the prey (the TV?) and filter out other noises (the wife?) in order to make the kill. For him, conversation means death if the prey is scared off.
For the gatherers (women), conversation means life, they have to account for all the family members so they MUST hear all things going on around them simultaneously in order to survive.
Hmm...

Well that sure explains alot! I think.
I'm not so sure....if something's really good on TV, I'm completely focused on it. Pete and I watch sports and blog in the evenings, and sometimes it's really quiet - and I'm not even mad at him!
ah... What did you say? I was watching the television.
:-))
