How long is 2 weeks?Wildly busy the past couple of days! We went to a friend's ordination and reception last night, had to get up early to get Busy Girl's hair cut BEFORE SHE GOES TO CAMP FOR 2 WEEKS TOMORROW!
We also went to the park with an old friend of mine (who is a lawyer in Denver, do we know any of those around these blog parts?) who was in town. All the kids had a great time together, but it really cut into camp packing!
So...this afternoon has been spent labeling and packing. Did I mention she is leaving for 2 WEEKS? Yes, as you can tell this is my first time with a child away from home like this. I really should get a grip because the camp is 20 minutes from here and I work in the infirmary once a week. But, MY BABY IS LEAVING FOR 2 WEEKS tomorrow!

Eeek - I yearn for and dread that day - next year I think my Beast qualifies for camp, but do I?
Ah, summer camp. The first time I attended camp I was eight, I think. I loved the week I spent up there and bawled when I left. Two years later I was staying for two weeks, and by the time I was twelve, not only was I staying for two weeks, I had managed to talk my way into volunteering the last couple weeks of camp. After that, I was gone all summer working at camp. I thoroughly enjoyed the work. My parents…well, they tried desperately to spend as much time at the summer camp as they could but…I didn’t completely appreciate that.
Well, Im in Denver, but I'm not a lawyer. I don't even play one on tv.

This is just a preamble to "going away to college" mom.
I just got my son back. He has 2 one week sessions, spread out over the summer. Its tougher the first time, this summer - its wasnt as bad. Last summer? I was a wreck. Hang in there girl - she'll be back before you know it!
I'm a wreck at just the thought of my little one ever going to kindergarten. You mean they can go away for more than 8 hours at a time??? Hopefully the 2 weeks will fly by for you :)
