Holiday Weekend wrap-up
As promised, here are a few pictures of our fun-filled weekend.
I ended up taking quite a few, but had to draw the line when I was tempted to take pictures at Target when I stumbled upon the colorful plastic dinnerware and assorted summer stuff at 50% off. (Zoot, I got 4 blankets, btw).
At any rate, we arrived Friday evening and went out to eat. Woke up the morning to rain, but it cleared in time for the parade (Happy 3rd of July?). The kids enjoyed it, Busy Baby got in on the action as well. Some of the parade highlights (well, for me, anyway) included the lawn chair brigade, Baton Bob and the dog who just sat there like that the whole time and didn't move.
After the parade, which was right where we were staying, we went inside and the kids played in the yard. Well, one took a break. The rest of us studied how to make nutritional drinks.
The next morning, the guys played a round of golf where our host aced the #5 par 3 hole! The rest of us met them at the clubhouse for lunch and the ceremonial signing of the scorecard.
We came home to go to the pool, where a good time was had by all. We stopped by the fair, went home, cooked out and, like many of you, went to see
the fireworks.
The kids had a blast and are ready to go back. I survived the bathing suit ordeal and we are looking forward to visiting again soon. To all those I neglected to contact while in town, hold the bbq for us, we'll be back soon!

Also - things to address in future entries: What is the deal with the lawn chair brigade, who is Baton Bob and where can I meet him. Also? Busy Baby looks adorable going down that water slide. What a great picture!

Posted by: Jeff A at July 6, 2004 05:46 AMGlad you're back and you guys had fun. I loved the nutritional drinks. And busy baby looks so sweet when he's a sleep. Ok, he looks sweet all the time, but "really" angelic when sleeping.
Posted by: kb at July 6, 2004 07:59 AMLooks like great fun. The parade brought back memories of a Fourth of July in Bloomin Prairie, MN. All the emergency trucks and cars were in the parade. All 3. LOL Ah to be in a small town.
Posted by: tj at July 6, 2004 09:00 AMLooks like FUN to me! Pass the nutrional drinks over please.
