You've got what?

Busy Boy's birthday is Monday and I'm trying to plan a party.

I love my kids more than anything and love to see how excited they are about their birthdays, but oh, how I hate to plan the parties. Well, I don't mind making the plans as much as I mind setting the date and the time etc., especially since Busy Boy's birthday is in the summer and it's hard to get people together.

Anyway, I am sitting here trying to rent a moon jump thingy. I call the 1-800 number:

1-800 Lady: "How can I help you?"
Me: "I'd like to rent a moon jump please."
1-800 Lady: "Your name, please"
Me: Spells last name.
1-800 Lady: Botches it up, reads back a name devoid of vowels.
Me: Spells last name again with emphasis on the vowels.
1-800 Lady: Botches it up, reads back different name devoid of vowels.
Me: Spells last name yet again.
1-800 Lady: Botches it up, reads back yet another name devoid of vowels.
Me: "Yeah, sure, that's it."

1-800 Lady: "What kind did you want?"
Me: "Tell me what you have available."
1-800 Lady: "We have big units"
My Inner 13 year old boy: "Bwhahahahaha! She said 'big units'
Me: "Well, good. We need a unit that will hold lots of people and won't deflate."
1-800 Lady: (missing crude joke) "How about a castle?"
Me: "A castle would be good."

At least you're cool enough to rent a moon jump. I am the meanest mama in the world (also the cheapest) and have yet to do anything that cool. ;)

Too funny Mrs, Trwzbgl! I have to admit, part of me hope a BIG UNIT is delivered to your house for many people to mount and play on. Just promise me pictures if that happens!!

We rented one for this tomorrow for our kidlets b day party!!! Hula G and B!!!
Happy Birthday Busy Boy!!!

why do I suddenly want an invitation?

ha hahahahaha.....

How did she manage to keep from snickering?

Well that was too funny to pass up I would have said the same thing!

How many of us wouldn't enjoy a big unit that doesn't deflate? Either one of our own or one we can share, depending on our gender.

They have the Big Unit available on Monday?!? How is Randy Johnson gonna make it all the way from Arizona to your place to the All-Star Game on Tuesday?!?

And don't you know that vowels in a name are so last week's news...LOL

Wow! A big unit. You can buy those? My wife's going to be so surprised!

I've had a few friends try to rent those things but they were NEVER available. Around here, you have to call about six months in advance, they are that popular.

And you know? I have one of the easiest last names known to man - and I STILL Have that same problem you did.

I just started reading other people's blogs and lucky you are one of them. This is one of the funniest posts I have read. Having access to only one big unit for the last 20 years I didn't realize you could not get them shaped like castles.
