Thanks so much for all the nice Anniversary wishes! You guys are the greatest!
We celebrated this morning by not being able to take a sick Busy Baby to the pediatrician because it's closed due to power outage from the storms last night. The celebration continued by going to chemo with my mother. It's not very exciting, but always good for people watching. I can now say that I've seen a guy chewing tobacco while getting chemotherapy.
Where did all the bloggers go? No, I'm not talking about blogs with existential angsty things going on causing a break in writing, actually, several sites seem to be down today.
We have this new valet service here at work. It's free and one of the services they provide is "Internet Research". I think I'll ask them to download a bunch of porn stuff since I would get in trouble doing it at work and see what they say. I'm just a card that way.
Why in the world is July always the most expensive month of the year?? School fees are due tomorrow, we're getting ready to go on vacation and doggone it, daycare seems to want to be paid EVERY month. Who knew? Then there's that whole thing about the kids wanting to eat 3 meals a day...
Speaking of meals, I still need to eat lunch. I made the dangerous discovery that the S*ubway here in the building takes my card (spending account). If I just hand them my ID and they give me food, it's like it's free, right?

I think there's a DNS problem somewhere, I've been seeing it too (but in the past few minutes some blogs are coming back online)
July is expensive, yes. I haven't found a cure.
And, happy anniversary!
Sorry to hear you Anniversary hasn't been the happiest ever.
I hope your day brightens!
I love to people watch, and esp. since I work for a University the best is to sit on the square and watch people pass, or see what kinds of things people do in the square.
About the Subway...it is free!!! it's plastic money!!!
Hope your day gets better, and I hope Busy Baby starts feeling better.
Hugs to mom. Tell her I ran for her again last week!
alright! free subway!
i was always stunned to go by a hospital and see some old guy in his hospital gown, an oxygen tube in his throat, hauling a bottle of oxygen on a little pull cart, and SMOKING A CIGARETTE!! HELLO!!??!!
that card fof food stuff is dangerous ~ especially good ~ fast ~ food!
Belated Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!
You hit the money problem on the head with the kids eating at home instead of at school. There's plenty of time and opportunity to get breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, supper and pre-bedtime snack. At least at school one snack and one meal are taken out of the mix. I remember what it was like with kids that age! My two always seemed ready to eat SOMETHING!
Happy Wedding anniversary.
14 years is a great accomplishment.
I second that. Most people take vacation in July (because the kids are out of school), daycare always wants their money, and then you only have about a month left till school starts again so you have to buy clothes, supplies etc so they don't sneak up on you the week before school starts.
I have been lucky that most of my appliances etc seems to die around Christmas time and not July. At least then I know we will still have an x-mas dinner because the MIL cooks it {{snicker}}.
We worked out we'd be rich.... if we didn't eat.
Just be thankful you have had yet another wonderful year together , though I do hope you get some time do some anniversary-like things!
happy anniversary!
im with you on the most expensive month thing! i can't even buy a break, im so broke from the kid stuff. Who knew that they could eat so much and stay so little. I can't wait for them to go back to school!
And plastic money on a Subway sand. is a great idea, if it's free even better, but then what in this day and age is free? heehee
Oh crud. Now I know SWAY takes cards. I'm in trouble too!
