And, how's your day?

Mine? Since you asked, has gone thusly:

1. Drove into MMC Garage this morning, searched for a spot in my usual area.
2. Pulled in a parking place only to realize the buttmunch in front of me hadn't pulled all the way through the spot and the end of his car was making the open place unusable.
3. Backed out of said place muttering profanities.
4. Apparently was paying more attention to profanity spewing than to driving, cut the wheel too soon and crunched into car next to me.
5. Panicked as there was traffic speeding up the ramp and I was worried I would get hit again.
6. Pulled forward again (yes, I know, save it) and crunched car a second time.
7. Ugly sounds (not just me) followed, much shattering occurs.
8. Get out of car to decide what to do next and find my entire passenger-side headlight assembly on ground. Other car is miracuously unscathed.
9. Pick up the pieces of my car before I am embarassed even further and burn the snot out of my thumb as halogen lights are a bit warm after they have been in use.

I think you should have turned around and just gone home and back to bed right around #7.

whew, I don't know about you but I'm exhausted just reading that.

Sounds more like a Monday ordeal than a Tuesday! Hope your day gets better...

Ouch! Hope the rest of your day goes MUCH better!!! I agree with Buzz's post.

I think I would have just gone home after the accident. What a day!

I hate people that don't pull all the way through. I hope you day gets better. Sorry!

Oh My that really, really sucked. Just think of it this way, what else could go wrong today. You've pretty much taken care of the whole week so you're probably ok, now you can really live dangerously.

It's got to be up hill from here. If not, have yourself a banana split or a brownie fudge sundae to sweeten your day :). Hope things get better.

HA! "Buttmunch" I haven't heard that one for awhile! It's even fun to say out loud. "Buttmunch...buttmunch!" Why do I feel like Beavis or Butthead right now?

In case it makes you feel better - things could have been worse. You could have rear-ended an off-duty police officer during morning rush hour traffic (causing a bigger backup for other drivers.) Yep, it happened to me last year just 2 days before Thanksgiving.

aw man, Busy mom! I hope your day gets better...it's almost over right?

arrrrrrgh! That is so tough! ((((hugggs)))) And I thought I had it bad with the great muffin incident.

Ya know, they put two headlights on there for a reason. One is expendable!

Go, enjoy that your car now gets 0.002 MPG more since it is lighter and more fuel efficient. Just don't munch the other one, cuz then you'd be hosed.

Oh no!! If it makes you fell better I backed into my MOMS car last week and did about 1000 in damage to my car and goodness knows how much to hers. That was one I had to just report to the insurance company. They did not find it at all amusing...

I'm sorry, Bm, that you've had such a crappy day. I think today is national crappy day - Everyone I know is having one. >.< I hope it gets better for you! Go and have yourself some nice chocolate and some hot tea with a shot of jack daniels. It'll make you feel better. (Or so I'm told with the tea - I don't drink ^_^) It can only get better!

Eee Gads! That is entirely too much to have happen before 11am!

Love it. This is about your best post yet! (At least for me.) I was having a rotten day myself and then I read this and just had to laugh to let off some steam. My day: Went to new home that is under construction to wait for trees delivery. Saw that the mason was cementing the stone onto the front of the house. The WRONG stone! Orange-colored stone-we are to get cream colored stone. *frantic phone calls ensue* See guys coming down the street with a wheelbarrow full of crap from another builder's house. The 2 guys look at me and go AROUND me to dump the crap in MY dumpster! They came from down the street! I yelled, "Don't you dare put that in my dumpster!" Reply? "You don't want this in your dumpster?" AAAArrrgh! Scream at them and they turn their wheelbarrow around and walk back up the street. (Probably waiting for me to leave so they can come back.) Tree delivery guy shows up 1 1/2 hours late. Drives right past me and up the block. I wait patiently for 15 minutes until they realize that they have passed the house. They return; they need water and a hose. I wrote on the receipt thing THAT ASKED ABOUT WATER, that there was no access to water as it is new construction! AArrrrgh! Add this in: The wrong color tile was put on the master bedroom fireplace. It is bright white and we requested bone. (It is now RIPPED OFF the fireplace.) There's plenty more, but I stopped at the grocery store on the way home and purchased a bottle of Tangueray and some ice because a martini is calling me.

Wow, I would have gone back to bed and tried today over again after about #4. I hate parking garages, HATE THEM.

OMG. What a terrible day. Makes you want to rewind back to 6AM and start over. I hate inconsiderate folks that don't park correctly, wasting space. How come I never see those folks get a ticket? Hey, at least you made it in time for lunch. Hope the PM goes better!

Days like that are the EXACT reason I do not carry a weapon. I would have killed the parking lot attendant just out of frustration. Once a bad day starts, it just doesn't seem to get any better.

I'll return the favor:

##%$#*(&*(#&$*&$*(#_+_)+()+#$(_#*!

BM, I'm sorry to hear about your day. Doesn't get to a point where about the only thing left to do is laugh?

That's where I'm at now with eveyrthing that's gone on with us the past 20 months or so.

yikes. sorry to hear that Elizabeth!! hope the rest of your day is just plain non-eventful!

y-i-k-e-s

Um, it can only get better?

Wow, that is a really crappy day. I admire your work ethic though for actually going back to work!

Guess you need a little Barney.

What is with this place and the teeny tiny parking spaces? My car's doors have gotten the living daylights dinged out of them because the student spaces are so tiny that my fellow students are unable to park their monstrous suvs and get out without whacking my car. Gah!

Damn. I hope your day got better. $400 for a headlight?!!! What is this world coming to?

We totaled our car. It seems to be a trend in blogworld to damage your car in some way. I hope your week gets better!

I am so sorry about your van... glad the other car was unscathed... but sorry you had to spend so much funding!!

BIG DRAG!

I cannot believe you made it to work by 11am after all that.
