Hold it down, OK?Last night, we had "Pigs in a Blanket" (small hot dog or sausage link wrapped in a biscuit) for dinner. Shut up. I live in the South. We have dishes with classy names like that.
The scene: general gabbery at the table. Actually, high volume talking as I am, apparently, raising the "Loud Family".
Busy Baby: "Be quiet!"
Talking continues.
Busy Baby: "Shhhhhhhh!"
Me: "What's wrong?"
Busy Baby: "Pigs sleeping!"

That's great. We have pigs in a blanket, too. And our family is setting records for "loud."

Just another reason I love kids.
Happy Thanksgiving.

I lived in the south (Goose Creek, SC) for 10 years, and the name of your dinner sounds just fine to me.
Pigs in a Blanket are wonderful altho' being raised a yankee it took me a few years to get used to some of the names
{{snort}} That's way too cute.
LOL, we have that up here also, we just call them the hot dogs wrapped in dough. Now I have a name for them.
Pigs in blankets are wonderful!!.
You should try sausage links wrapped in pancakes for breakfast.
Adorable. You must be raising a very kind and thoughtful child :)
Thanks for sharing. He sounds like a doll.
Are you still gona use those blankets after the pigs were in it, Busy Mom?
I never seen pigs in a blanket before, but I did have my hamster Duckie in a coffee cup without the coffee, but I shoulda clean the two poops out of it before my big brother used it for chocolate milk!
I wonder what it tasted like?
I hope you have a nice day, Busy Mom!
Where did Busy Baby get his delightful sense of humor?! ;~)
I live in the South too... and I'm from Southern Virginia.. One meal I always enjoyed was Sh*t on a Shingle... mmmMmMmMm :D
Oh man, haven't had pigs in a blanket in ages. And I'm from the upper midwest and we call them that there too.
Busy Baby makes me laugh! :)
How cute!
I haven't had Pigs in a Blanket in ages...but I like 'em!
Southern girl here - born and bred.
Awwww, that is so cute! I really miss those cute little sayings.
Mine are all older, so all I get are smartass comments, it's not so cute.
That is just TOO delightful! Go RIGHT NOW and write it in Busy Baby's baby book.

I hope you write some of those things down in a book for your kids...mine love looking back at this family history! "Mom, when caterpillars get tired of crawling, they turn into butterflies" And,loudly, of course... "Grandma can't eat dessert 'cause she has diarrhea" (ed: diabetes)
How cute! :) That sounds good! I have never made them before but my grandmother used too! I think I might try my hand at it! I think we used to even put cheese in some of them... you can tell I am from SC ha ha!
Got any pointers on Pig in a Blanket making?? ;)
My husband (the Englishman) made me eat "Toad in the Hole" once. It tasted about how you'd expect. There's a reason why people make fun of English food.
Pigs in a blanket rock! Only up here in the Northeast that means breakfast sausage wrapped in pancakes. Mmm.
Busy Baby is too cute! kmoore has a great idea there with writing down the funny things the little ones say. A few years ago my aunt started jotting down funny things my cousins said throughout the year. Then she typed it all up and sent it out with the annual Christmas card. It was a big hit and now she does it every year. Definitely an entertaining spin on the traditional holiday newsletter!
LOL...that is way to cute. i live in New England and know what pigs in a blanket are. Doesnt everyone?
That's an awesome cute kid quote.
omg--he's so cute!
TOO CUTE!!!!!! We love pigs in the blanket at our house too - but ours don't sleep! :)
Straight from the mouth of a two-year-old Tony about three years ago when we had nearly the same thing for dinner.
