Lover's quarrel

It was bound to happen sooner or later, we just haven't gotten along, lately. I don't know, maybe it's the holidays, they're hard on everyone. But, it's just...just...I don't know, you don't seem to have it. You tell me you do, but when I need it most, you're empty inside. I need more. I need someone who's knowledgable, who can give me what I need. Even your little mannerisms that were once so endearing are now causing stress between us.

Heck, maybe it's me. Maybe I don't know what I want out of this relationship. Perhaps I take you for granted, we've been together for so long, since high school, I think. Maybe we need a break, you know, time for you to get yourself together. I'll admit there have been others, but I always come back to you and I will again. But, for now,

I stopped going to Target after a while...it seems they went the way of Wally World...once they got popular and 'hip' they just stopped caring. Heck, I just go to Wally World anymore...it's closer and it's all the same.

I too have a love/hate relationship with stores!! Target and I have broken up and gotten back together many times.

You'll never forget your first love.

When I saw that you cheated on him with "another" I was all "please God, don't let it be walmart!"

Whew!

Oh Target, why have you forsaken us? Yesterday's trip to Target included getting bonked in the head by someone carrying an armful of wrapping paper, getting nailed in the back of the ankles three times, losing my husband four times, and bleeding from an ornament in my hand (50% off, of course!) that I couldn't reshift because my hands were too full. Well, maybe I can't blame that all on Target, but dang it someone made me go batshit over all that clearance stuff!

I really wish we had a Target here in Hawaii, because we have too many Walmarts. I swear, if they build ONE MORE Walmart here on Oahu, the whole island will sink into the Pacific Ocean.

Why, you little ho, lol.

I've noticed there are big differences between different Target stores. Is there another one close by you could give a try?

Oh my gosh, the BEEPING. I absolutely hate it!

Ah, the post-holiday coital shopping blues. just beware this new mistress you've taken. no matter how temporary your intentions, she's known to be jealous, sneaky, and intrusive.

;)

No best buy or circuit city there?

Well, I'm just glad it's Office Max you went to, and not the evil WallyWorld!

I'm stuck with our Target...it has a Starbucks in it, and I can't live without my coffee!

I don't have a Target near me anymore. I feel lost, lonely, rejected. Sure, there are other stores around, but they just don't do it for me like Target did. *sigh* They say the first is always special....

Target can do that to a girl. "He's" done it to me before too! I keep asking myself why I come back... it must be that big red circle. No honest woman can resist a red tag sale. :) Great post!

That reminds me of when my hubs and I went to Target to buy me MY new digital camera last week. I knew the one I wanted. There we stood in front of the glass counter with two Target guys behind the counter. Did anyone help us? A 3rd guy came and one of the two guys told him of a gal looking for a "Santa Clause" video. Off he went. Umm...how about concentrating on the people who are going to put down $200 in your store versus $12?

Yes, I think something is seriously happening with Target. Their service is getting so shitty. I have a story to tell but I will post it on my own blog later. Stay tuned.

Thank heavens my Target hasn't sunk that low! I don't think I could handle the breakup.

Though I admit freely that electronics isn't their strong suit. (Don't tell them what I buy at Best Buy).

Why, you rascally wabbit.....

Yes, I am glad the mention of the Wal-Evil-Mart didn't arise.

Super-Target and I have had our difference also but always managed to patch things up.
I hope you reconcile soon..the heartbreak is just too tremendous to let it linger!

Doesn't the word "committment" mean ANYTHING anymore?!

Oh my... this is a sad day. I could never leave Target, we are in love. Maybe mine hires smarter people? I never talked to the people except cashiers.

Although I've never had Target* treat me in such an awful way, do you think they'd be available for the occassional booty call? You know maybe in April or so when all their summer stuff shows up on the shelf? Maybe late at night, since Office*Max doesn't have the brightly colored plastic dinnerware or the beautiful display of bags where there is always something new being shipped in? I wonder if Target* would be open to you coming in just for that?

I have nothing to add. I just wanted to be number 22. Only this. Smile in the mirror. :)

Sure, Office Max is a fun fling, what with all those organizers and paper products, but in the end, it'll never satisfy you the way Target can. You can fight it, but you'll be back.

I stick w/ the specialty stores for cameras also. The folks behind at counter at Target never seem to know what they're talking about.

Along with many others, I was glad to see that you had not forsaken Target for the evil WW Axis. There are soon to be 87 Super Centers within about a mile and a half of my house (slight exaggeration), and it only makes me hate the place more and more. I would have given Busy Girl one of my digital cameras before I saw you go back into the clutches of Wally.

Hmmm, I might be the only one loving Tarjey, but then I compare it to the Walgreens, Walmart and Rite-Aid and Save-On's of the world, all which have NO customer service help, NO one manning the cash registers no matter HOW long the dang line, and the WORSE help E . V . E . R .

I guess it's based on what you're used to?

Oh, I can't be mad at them... when I was trying to find LOTR 3 for dh, they were the only place I could find it... and they got it out of the back room for me!! (Got to LOVE Super Target!!)

That rumbling sound you hear is our beloved Zoot opening a can of whoop-ass. I'm SO glad I'm not in your zip code right now...

You can work it out! Take a little break away from each other. See what else is out there. Visit a K-mart, a Wal-Mart, then you will know that Target is the store you want to stay committed to.

I go to Best Buy for electronics as well--a bunch of geeky guys and gals in there can always give me answers to my very dumb questions. I like Target for the basic stuff, but not for any specialty items. (and I would never set foot in our Walmart--ICK!)

OOPS...Miss Zoot is roaring...I can tell.........hehehe Love is at best difficult. Things will work out. I feel sure of it.

I'm mad at Target because they I heard they didn't allow the Salvation Army bell ringers to come to their stores this season. I heard it was going to make Salvation Army lost like 10% of their income.
