Welcome to the Weekend Edition of "Busy Mom Leads the Life of a Rock Star". I'm your host, Busy Mom.

I swear I'm gonna shut up about this, but I actually used said treadmill. Know what? (this is actually rather pathetic) I got motion sick. What gives with that? It may have been because I was trying to watch a movie at the same time, but when I finished, hoo boy did I feel sick. I knew there was a reason I hadn't exercised in quite a while.

The movie is great so far, I haven't finished it, yet. Anybody seen "Sordid Lives"? It's not one for the kiddies, it earned it's "R" rating, but it's a riot! Now, it's not exactly educational or nuthin', but put it on you Netflix que right now. Go ahead, I'll wait for you to get back.

*tries to think of something to say before reader gets back*

Busy Girl is feeling much better, though she couldn't play her basketball game today. Busy Boy's team won theirs and he even scored. Yes, that is a big deal.

I haven't even left the house today, not even to wear my marginally ugly shoes. I'll have to go out later to get some more half and half since I used it on the chicken tetrazzini I just made since we all know that coffee just isn't coffee without it. Hold me down, it's gonna be a wild evening.

I've spent a lot of time uploading a gamillion pictures to my Gallery just so I can complete 2004, maybe I'll even start 2005 just for grins. In other spellbinding news of the geeky variety, I have attempted to ban a known spam server using .htaccess. Many thanks to Brian and Cindy for that. I have no idea if I've done it right, but at least I haven't shut down my own site or something. So, we'll call that a victory.

Ah, hell. I'm even boring myself to tears here.

Sorry to hear about the motion sickness. If you decide you can't stand the treadmill, maybe I could convince my hubby to trade you our elliptical. I wanted a treadmill because I can read and walk at the same time... I can't do 3 minutes on the elliptical! He likes the elliptical, but doesn't use it as often as he should.

I got that a lot when I first started on the treadmill at the gym. A year later, it's not a problem. It's nice to know that I am not the only one that has that problem, because most of my friends looked at me like, "Huh?" when I told them I had motion sickness on the treadmill. It will go away soon! :)

I just came back from a run to the store for half and half. Wow! Are we living parellel lives here, or what? Well, no actually. My excuse for not using my treadmill isn't motion sickness, my excuse is I'm too tired. I think yours is better.

I'm really thrilling here too. I'll have to check in to that Sordid Lives movie.

Your shoes aren't ugly. I like them.

Well you can always use the treadmill as a clothes horse... that's what most people end up doing anyway.

That happens to me every time I use a treadmill. After I get off the whole world spins and I can barely walk. It's a wierd feeling, like walking on land after being on a boat for a long time. I can't get the Earth under me, if you know what I mean.

So, like is that like the song: "I feel the Earth move, under my feet"...okay, poor attempt at humor. Actually, I prefer to watch TV while on the treadmill, can't read and walk as I like to swing my arms for maximum effect. Never tried an elliptical before, though. Hmm, local rec. center here I come....

I can't believe you got motion sickness.lol.Too funny.

I get motion sick on the treadmill too. Heck I get sick on a swing these days. I am terrified someone in my family will die or have some other horrible thing happen where I'll have to get on a plane to go see them. I haven't been in the air in almost seven years! My girl missed her basketball too. She was pretty disappointed.

When I first started using the treadmill, I'd get dizzy once I got off. It was like the ground was still moving under me!

Start off slow on the treadmill. I had that happen to me too when I went on it for the first time. Start off with some walking and run for a couple of minutes in between the walking. Work yourself up slowly. Before you know it you will be running 30 minutes straight. Also, don't run to fast. Just a slow jog.

Are you allergic to the treadmill?

First weekend the new World's Gym opened up on Nolensville Road, the gym introduced its brand new "theatre-cardio" room with a large screen. (This was years ago before every gym in the state had one of these rooms.) Anyway, I start running at a good clip on the treadmill and they have the movie "A Perfect Storm" playing on the screen. (I have no idea why they thought a Mark Wahlberg movie about an ocean catastrophe was an appropriate cardio-theatre event.) Without even realizing it, I actually lost my bearings, my foot hit the side of the treadmill and I fell flat on my behind in front of a room full of gym-rats trying desparately not to bust out laughing.

Just be thankful that no one was around to witness your motion sickness.

Wow. I'll have to look into banning spam servers, never thought of that. I just close my comments out after five days - they still get in periodically though. Jerks.
