Title! Goes! Here!

I stayed at home last night! In my bed! And I slept! I woke up with an exclamation point habit! Exclamation points are good and so good for you! Did I mention that I am in my own bed?! I slept! I need some coffee!

OK! My mom stayed by herself last night and she said she was fine. The doctor plot thickens, as her 3rd oncologist, well call him Dr. Young and Cheery, (her regular oncologist, Dr. Cute and Smart Girl is out of town and Dr. Lump of Cheese who admitted her is gone too), bops in this mornng and says, "Know what? I don't think this has to do with the lung cancer, I think you've got a lung infection." Dr. Little Black Rain Cloud (the pulmonologist) came in after that and admitted that it was probably an infection and he was delighted that she's doing better. It's actually somewhat amusing at this point. Bottom line, though, she does have lung cancer, it's bad and she will die from it some day. I just don't think it's going to be today or tomorrow, so we will carry on and be glad that she is feeling better from this episode. Doubtful that she'll be discharged today mainly due to getting a bed at camp (we're calling her time at the SNF her trip to camp where she'll be quite popular as the youngest camper), but we don't know anything yet. I'm secretly hoping she'll get in the one place that I like and they'll give me her bed when she's through. It's that nice, really. Wanna see a picture? They probably won't have a bed, though, oh, well.

Hey, let's hear it for Dr. Young and Cheery!

That camp looks pretty snazzy. Maybe she'll get to go for a few days :)

I'm so glad things are looking up. Take care.

That's great! That she's feeling better! And, that you got to sleep! Last! Night!

(your habits, though, are rubbing off on some of us!)

Keyboard cops are taking away your exclamation points, or at least holding them hostage for a good cop/bad cop interview.

Good news! I'm so glad to hear she is doing better today and hey, thats a pretty spiffy looking camp too.

So glad your mom is doing better! Way to go, Dr. Young & Cheery! (Look, I can use exclamation points too!)

By the way, that "camp" looks awesome. Time to plan my summer vacation...

Wow! That *does* look like a nice place. Do they take reservations?

I'm glad your mom is starting to feel better!

thats why i hate doctors! they tell you what you wanna hear just so they dont have to deal with you.

*kermit the frog* YAYYYYYYY!
just goes to show you that doctors aren't perfect, and at least these ones took the time to really figure out the problem before sending your mother off into doom and gloom.
YAYYYYYYY!

Well, who says SC&A are mean SOB's. Never mind.

We're delighted to hear your mom is doing better- at least from the standpoint of addressing the real problem du jour.

Now, take a deep breath and reenter the day to day insanity that is yours alone.

Nice to be back, isn't it?

So glad to hear that things are better!!!! I'll join the !!club too....Try to have a good weekend.........

Yeah for your own bed!
Yeah for Doctor Young & Cheery!
Yeah for Coffee!
That camp looks sooo much better then the camp I'm thinking of sending the kids too this summer, we won't let them see it.
Good wishes & prayers are still heading your way!

Better is good! And sleeping in your own bed is fantastic! Ack, I've been hit with a case of the exclamation points!

Woo! Hoo!!!! Great news! That means I can stop pretending to be nice to you for a while!!!!

Hey, that's a snazzy lookin' camp, if I do say so myself! Good for you that you got some sleep sweety. You can't be much good to her, your family, or yourself without rest! :) Take it easy today, drink your coffee slow, but not too slow cuz cold coffee sucks, and relax in the thought that she's doing better!

Looks like a Bed and Breakfast to me.....

Glad things are looking up and you got to sleep at home last night. Remember to take care of you. It's easy to lose yourself in the caregiving role. ((hugs))

That looks like a really nice place. I'm so glad to hear that your mom is doing better.

What good news!

Yay! for sleep! Yay! for your own bed! Yay! for good home brewed coffee! Yay! for an explanation! That camp looks like a place in Tampa Bay! TGIF!!!! Hugs!

As far as facilities go, that's a pretty looking nice one. We have nothing even close to that around here.

Im glad things are going a little better for you and your family.

Hope you have a restful weekend.

It looks like a wonderful place!! When we needed a place for my Dad, they weren't even really 'nice' never mind gorgeous like that one!

I am glad you could sleep. The picture of the camp looks nice. I really hope your mother will feel better.

I'm glad to hear that your mom is doing better!

So glad to hear the good news! You are taking such good care of your mom; now it's time to take care of yourself, too. Best wishes, and a big hug, from Mamacita.

Busy Mom

I have been reading your blog for several weeks and ironically my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer yesterday. Would you mind if I e-mailed you?

wow! that be a fancy camp! Glad to hear that your mom is doing somewhat better. I know your dad will be fine, soon, too. My mom is on coumadin, too, and she's constantly monitored with it. God bless to you and all the Busys. :)
