Tales from the nursing home

Things with my mother are moving right along. She went to physical therapy for 2 hours today. She's already had to be moved to another room as her first roommate was/is insane and I was there until 7:30 pm last night babysitting her (the roommate). Long story. It's much better now, although the new room doesn't have cable, I had to call for it today and they can't install it until Friday.

I went over there for lunch (about a 15 minute walk from MMC) and my dad was there. We were walking down the hall and heard a voice, "Beep, beep, beep, toot, toot!" This being a nursing home, we didn't think it all that unusual until we got the corner and were met by a guy in a motorized wheelchair towing another guy in a regular wheelchair. It was pretty darn funny.

Comedy always helps! I'm sorry that you're having to go through all this. However, as part of the sandwich generation, too, I'm learning from you! And your most valuable lesson as been -- humor will see you through. Keep the faith.

I wish you would've gotten a picture... of course then I would've spit soup, so maybe no picture is a good thing.

In addition to a Health Plan, obviously, it pays tp keep that AAA membership up.

nice to know it's a helpful group! ;)

You needed a laugh about then I'm sure!

OMG that actually happens? I've seen that in movies and on comedy shows, but never thought it actually happened in a real facility! Too funny!
