All fired up

If you look in the Moblog, you can see how the morning started. Busy Baby and I were getting ready to go in his school and we heard lots of sirens, so we stood on the sidewalk to see them pass by on the road. Imagine our surprise when they came roaring into the school parking lot.

I thought they were going to the assisted living place that is also on the campus, but that wasn't the case as I found out when we went into the building and the fire alarm was blaring. So, I did what any mother of a young child would do when the child's school building might be on fire, I took pictures. I didn't feel so bad when I saw another parent with a camera (a friend of mine). So, we took pictures of each other by the fire trucks. It turned out that all was well, except for the fact that Busy Baby suddenly became shy when hot young fireman in full turnout gear came over to talk to us.

In other news, I officially saw the most important harbinger of Spring, the UPS man was wearing shorts. (Eek! Busy Bad Typist nearly struck again with an "i" instead of the "or" in "shorts". Would give a new meaning to "What Can Brown Do For You?")

What an exciting morning, certainly beats my fight with the 3-hole punch. At least now I can dream about the hunky fireman while I go back to picking up little round dots.

UPS has lawyers, you know, to address those Freudian slippery fingers.

Good breeding precludes 3 dead shrinks from commenting on hot firemen- inasmuch as 3 dead shrinks would have liked to have been hunky hot firemen, instead of momma obsessed, pipe smoking, touchy feely weenies.

We overcompensate by charging big bucks. Who needs a fire truck or a corvette?

We will be laughing (and crying) all day, now.

So, were the firemen literally hot, or just figuratively? In other words, was the school on fire? Inquiring minds want to know.

Oooh, UPS guys in shorts--spring really IS coming! We are surrounded by UPS pilots around here; I don't think they issue them shorts with their uniforms. Bummer.

The German UPS folks broke out the shorts, this week, too!! I think it was because of our 1 day of spring (it doesn't last long here!)

Pasty legs of the UPS man.. fantastic signal of spring time. Nice blog, came via Michele..

cheers.

Does anyone out there have the authority to call a workday because of rain? I am so tired thanks to the "non" drousy sinus releif I took and hour ago. If anyone needs me I'll be under my desk ala Geroge Costanza taking a nap. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Excuse me? You had a camera while talking to "hot young fireman in full turnout gear" and we get a picture of a big red truck?!?!

When our children were small the firemen visited school. Really cool, until they put the siren on and frightened the kids.

Well heck, didn't you get a pic of that hot young fireman? I can't believe I'm drooling this much and all I can find is a pic of the truck! lol

Fire trucks at school. Yeah, I'd have been snapping, too. Not the firemen, though. ;)
