Wednesday, March 23
Domo Arigato

A blogtastic time was had by all this evening, courtesy of the one and only Mr. Roboto and News Channel 2. Yes, I attended my first ever blogger function and met some of the great people behind the local blogs. Well, they're local to me, maybe not local to you, but you know what I mean. Oh, wait, I'm getting off track...

Anyway, we gathered at Jackson's and introduced ourselves. People who, up until now, existed to each other only on the great world wide Internets, chatted like old friends. We enjoyed delicious food, Rex interviewed people for the first ever Rexblog podcast, and I enjoyed meeting Paul, Kevin, Linda, Empress Kitty, Terry, and Blake and all the News 2 staff (hope I didn't leave anyone out).

Additionally, I discovered I feel like a fool saying the word "blog" out loud and no normal person should ever introduce themselves as "Busy Mom". Looking forward to doing it again soon!

P.S. Joe, I do too, remember your name.

It was a pleasure to meet you BusyMom! As Mr. Roboto said, it shouldn't be the last. Perhaps we should make him the unofficial social director of Nashville Bloggers.

How fun! I'd love to do something like this someday. Unfortunately I think I may be the only blogger in the state (No - I know of ONE other), so it would be an awfully lonely party!

You are lucky. Local is a funny word to use with blogs, you all live in my living room!!

Sounds like fun...I'd hate to introduce myself then...

Isn't that Kevin Cline?

For those of you who haven't figured it out already, BusyMom is a delightful person online and in real life.

Is there an 'adopt a blogger' organization?

Sounds like fun!

I'm jealous,I've not got to meet any bloggers.

Oh, man! I wish I had gone! I completely forgot about it!

Sounds like fun! Next time I'm down your way, maybe we can meet. I even know where that Panera is near MMC! It would be a regular BM convention. Oh, scratch that name.

I'm so jealous! I hope there is another one soon so I can go. I'm glad a good time was had though!

So like did you talk templates, spam and manageable blogrolls?

Isn't it interesting how we just can't resist each other?

I'm jealous. But I'm also probably too chicken to actually meet other bloggers.

/hiding behind my keyboard...

That sounds like so much fun!

It was a lot of fun! It was great to meet you Busy Mom!

Dangnabbit...how'd I miss this?

I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to chat.

We had a great turnout at the party, and I am surprised so many more people have expressed interest in doing it again. We're talking about doing another in late April/early May, so come by TNF and email me to be added to my (real life person, not spam) email invite list for the next one.

(This gettogether wasn't "invite only" though; you probably haven't been visiting Nashville's Greatest Nightlife Blog enough.)

I enjoyed meeting you, Mom. What a wonderful group of people, eh?
