Pinkly Polished

I don't wear nail polish. I love it on you (well, maybe not you in the back there, but on the rest of you, it's great), but I feel stupid in it, I don't know why, probably because my nails are not all that great.

But, over the weekend, I offended even myself with my unpolished toes on my ghostly feet in sandals (thusly violating the rules of summer feet), so I went out and got some polish. Now I can't stop buying it. I went to the drugstore at lunch today and tried on lots of colors. Most of my fingernails are now Pink Freeze (Revlon Enamel #250).

For some reason, that color only works for Sig.

I can't go outside in summer sandals unless my toes are painted. Going around with bare toenails makes me feel uncomfortable, subversive, unwashed, anti-social. (I know this is neurotic.)

My fingernails can go unpainted for years... but not the toenails...

Toenails are a must paint - fingernails are challenging...I don't like to draw attention. I do occasionally use a pink that is almost clear or a clear for the fingers.

I think we may need photographic evidence.

I have one bottle that I break out every year at sandal time. So, I really don't use it except once (possibley twice) a year and only on my toes.

Go figure.

If you can stand having someone touch your feet (some people can't and I don't understand that), treat yourself to a pedicure. With all of your appliance mishaps and your Friday the 13th adventures last week, you deserve a treat!

I never painted my toenailss until about two years ago. My sister had given my daughter some nail polish and she asked to have her finger and toenails painted and so I figured I'd do mine too. I've only done it twice since then.

Enjoy your pretty toes. You may have inspired me to paint mine now.

MOST? What are the ones that are not Pink Freeze? And what happens when the freeze thaws?

Happy toes! You know I am SO all about nail polish, but then, I have great nails. (Plenty of other body parts stink*, but my nails are wonderful.)

I LOVE PINK NAILS! What fun! Especially pink toenails!

This is where I really REALLY wish I had girls - Travis won't let me paint his, and Tyler would just suck the paint right off of his toes!

Funny you mention this. I am not a cosmetic buyer either and I put in an Avon order this morning. ...And I bought nail polish.

Have fun with your pretty toes.

I only like my toes painted, never my fingers. Wait until you discover OPI!

I can't do painted nails either. I don't know why exactly, but in the past when I have painted them I immediately had to remove it. You are not alone. My Mom paints her toenails in the summer (but only in the summer, and not her fingernails only her toenails) because as an avid gardener it hides the dirt stains on her toenails that she can't get off. Snort! A clever use of polish, don't you think?

Before I started getting fake nails [I have silk nails], I never wore nail polish. My nails are naturally weak and I could never keep all my nails the same length and I didn't want to pay attention to them. But yet I still had 18 zillion bottles of polish. Just goes to show that I will buy anything.
