Leaping Lizards

First of all, a big shout out to my real life friend who I discovered has been reading this here blog for a while. Let's call her C-Lo, no real reason, but I figured it was better than publishing her name for the whole Internets to see and stalk and stuff. Hi, C-Lo!

Let's see what's going on? Oh yes, remember the lizard Busy Boy caught and we thought we inadvertently served it up to the cats, but it turned out to be alive and well? Well, seems we let it get too cold and killed it again. It was stiff and Busy Dad laid it to rest outside. And, rest it did. It must have gotten over being dead ("I'm not dead, yet") because Busy Boy caught this poor thing in all its footless and tail-less glory YET AGAIN and remanded it to little lizard hell in the bucket in our house. You know he's gotta be pissed: "What does a lizard have to do do live free around here? I gave two appendages to get away from you people, I died to get away from you. What do you want from me?!"

Busy Girl had a soccer tournament today, they did really well which is not something that happens a whole lot. They lost a tough first game 2-3 to a team that usually beats them quite soundly. They won the second game 3-2 against a team that was expected to beat them. Busy Girl was awesome in the goal and scored once as well. They have to play the same team again in the morning to get to the finals, I'm not sure they can pull it off again, but I hope so!

Oh, Busy Dad fixed the lawn mower! Score: Appliances-2, Us-2

C-Lo is a cool name. Were you thinking of J-Lo by chance?

What is it with you and ripping off limbs? Geez.

Poor lizard. Wait till the PETA people hear about this!

Hello, C-Lo!

I just watched "Finding Nemo" again today and your lizard reminds me of when Nemo played dead in the dentist office to elude the metal mouth fish killer. Not that I'm saying your family is a killer of anything...let's just say you all are quite stunning. ;)

That is hilarious, that damn lizard must be pretty slow to get caught yet again. And whisper to him that the whole dying bit isn't going to work again.

Oh, wow, what a lizard tale! I have some friends who read my site, and it sometimes feels weird to me. I don't know what to talk to them about because they've read it all on the blog already. Busy Girl's soccer team must be improving a lot--way to go!

YAY for Busy Girl and her team!
Ok now the lizard thing kind of freaked me out. To think about that happening in our house, either the cat or the dog would have had lunch. *burp

Hi, not much happening here, except an all time new record for Princess H in Long jump yesterday. YAY ! HI C-Lo !

What is it with this lizard? I thought cats were the ones with multiple lives.

Way to go - Busy Girl and team!

The range of busy activity in your family knows no limits.

SHE SCORES!

Way to go, Busy Dad!

Way to go, Busy Girl!

Now, if we could get some work out of Busy Mom....(other than lizard record-keeping).

It is time to promote this reptile to 'BusyLizzard' status...'perhaps a token appearance on the serving tray might be appropo *grin*

Perhaps you have a flock of lizards that are all missing the SAME appendages.

I love this post, I came back to read it to my husband.

Here's another Python reference the lizard can use: "It's just a flesh wound!"

LOL... Didn't you know that reptiles are cold-blooded and if they're temperature goes a little low, they hibernate. Just a clue so next time you won't think of him as dead. Just warm him up and he'll "come alive" again. Plus, it's a nice little lesson for the kids to learn, right?

This lizard story is reminding me of the time Abby volunteered at Mote Marine labs. She said on the days after they had kindergarten visits none of the sea stars had arms left and they got to go to the
starfish rehab center to re-grow while the tide pool was restocked with whole ones...
