Friday, July 22
A story.

See BIG tree.
See straightline winds from storm.
See house.
See BIG tree fall on house.
See Busy Mom awakened by 50 ft. tree in bedroom window.
BOOM! CRUNCH! POW! SPARKS! FIRE!
See Busy Van II.
See Busy Van II squished by big tree.
See electrical feed ripped from side of house.
See live wire on Busy Van.
See fireman. See policeman. See electric company.
See Busy Mom call insurance.
See electrician and tree surgeon arrive.
See Busy Mom farm out the kids to different palces.
See Busy Mom go to check out the new Target store with a Starbucks in Brentwood and look for someplace with wifi.
(See Moblog pic. More pictures later.)

Best of luck. I'll up the prayers.

OMG! How scary!! I wanted to see moblong, but moblog wouldn't open.

Oh NO! Poor busy family. Glad that everyone is alright.

Maybe you get a new busyvan out of the deal?

Yikes! Your house is going all Poultrygeist on you.

"They're heeere"

Yikes! That is definitely a scary and most unpleasant story.

can't open moblog either but this sounds awful, especially since I think I read your planning on vacation this weekend.

Ouch! Now watch the Busy Insurance premiums go up. :(

Hope things get back to semi-normal over the weekend.

That's horrible!! Thank gawd no one was hurt! I take it you got the Busy Van back from the shop.... which sucks.

Ugh - I'm soooo sorry!

See very hectic time ahead.

I hope you're all ok. Everything else can be fixed. Hey, you might even get new carpeting in your bedroom.

That was bigger than a big tree. It looked huge.

Aren't you supposed to be heading out on vacation any day now? Geez, what did you do to anger ole Murphy?

Glad everyone is OK. Just keep repeating to yourself: "This could have been worse. This could have been worse." If that fails, drink heavily

Oh honey, you poor thing! Glad no one was hurt, but my God what a mess!

Quick somebody grab Toto!

Scary stuff those nightmares...not a nightmare? What a way to start a Friday, glad to hear everybody is unharmed (well except for Busy Van II and Busy House - but the people). Hope you at least had a positive Target/Starbucks experience.

That'll teach you.

You can't have nice things.

Holy crap! I'm glad you are all safe. Now the fun begins! Good luck and I hope your insurance company comes through for you!

Holy shite!!! I'm glad you're ok but DAYUMMM!!!

OMG! I'm so glad you're all okay! You poor thing :(

Can't wait to see pics though ;)

Sweet cripes. I hope everybody's okay. That is really scary....

Wow! Glad everyone is ok.

Wow! I'm glad you are ok. I'm so sorry that this happened.

Hopefully you did NOT see Busy Vacation get cancelled.

Oh my! Glad no one was hurt. Sad for Busy house and Van II though.

OMG! That had to have been a frightening way to wake up. I'm glad no one was hurt.

Oh, the extent 'some' folks go to to get out of going on family vacation. Desperate times call for desperate measures!!

I hope everything is safe! I'll have a moment of silence for the Busy Van.

Ouch. So much for the check-engine light!

Only after all that would YOU head for coffee and wi-fi.

:)

So sorry to hear about the tree! We actually have 3 we're thinking of getting rid of BEFORE this happens to us. I'm nowhere near close enough to a Starbucks.

Sorry about your house and car at least you got some good coffee and wifi and not to mention you were at the $100 store. Hope it all works out.

Oh OUCH! Great beginning reading text, though - may have my 5 yo read it out loud.

Hope you guys are okay - hang in there!

oh no!!!! that is not good. good thing you have all that free time to take care of everything, huh? hahahaahhahahaha.

Ouch--been there, done that, photo on the way via email.

Good grief!!! I'm glad everyone was all right, but heavens, what a nightmare!

Wow, I am glad that you and your family are all ok. That sounds scary!

Of course, with hurricanes, storm winds, tornadoes, my (Greek) husband keeps telling me "thats another good thing about concrete buildings, why don't Americans build all their buildings with concrete?" He just doesn't get it.

Holy Crap!!!!! Your Target has a STARBUCKS?????? Are you sure you didn't die and go to heaven?????

Glad to see the line "See someone get taken to MMC" was omitted. Good luck with the insurance....

Oh no! Glad to hear that everyone is OK.

Wow! I'm sorry about your car, but I'm glad no one was hurt! Was that your house on the news this afternoon?

as I reading this I hoping it was just a story...but dang!-omg!-

Glad you guys are ok.

OMG! That is more than a big tree! Thank goodness everyone is ok.

Our Target has a Starbucks....but I can't find wifi anywhere around here. I have to go park in the parking lot of a bank close to work, lol, where there's a "hotspot", or whatever they're called.

Holy Busy Crap! That is a big tree and I'm really glad to hear that it didn't come any further into the Busy house. Be safe.

Not a nightmare? Holy cow--that would be very unpleasant. Hope it's all worked out now. So much to do, so little time, but you made time for a coffee. You are my kind of person!

Keeeeeer-ri-min-eeee sakes!! So: ready for that vacation yet?

I am greatly relieved there were no Busy Deaths involved. Obviously, you have many Busy Angels watching over you. Thankfully!

OMG I'm so sorry. What a godawful thing to happen...Glad everything is ok and I hope you can get it straightened out..

Glad no people were injured in the making of this blog.

I do think you need a new bag now... and a new pair of shoes.

And you were worried about the "check engine" light?
