You put your right hand in, you take your right hand out...The tree people can't move the tree until they talk to the insurance people.
The insurance people won't talk about the tree to anyone until we move it.
The car salvage people are itching to get the car, only, the tree is still on it.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Sounds like one of those "catch 22" situations.
Just keep at them. somebody will fold. And hopefully soon.
Call the insurance people and ask them if it is ok if you move said tree.
Tell the tree people that whether it comes out of your pocket or the insurance companies pocket the said bill will be paid. Tell them to move said tree today.
Tell the car people to have fun.
And if that doesnt work? Tell the car people where the insuarance agent and the tree people park THEIR cars and have them towed.
I'll send you and e-mail privately - - I know of the tree / insurance matters - -
The only time something like this happened to me, I turned into a Tree Person.
I also inspired a little movie called Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but that's a different blog entry...
Now that we've established that the entire Busy Family survived the Great Tree Incident of '05 unscathed, I have a question:
Did the tree hit the new bathroom?
(Oh and I can't see any pictures on the Moblog. Where'd it go?)
So my question might be asked by many but I'm asking it anyways. Are you all ok???
And you shake them all about...
You tell'em you need a new car,
A porche will do nicely,
That's what it's all about!
So any hope of getting a new minivan out of this? :)
My condolences. I once had a smaller-scale situation involving only a car and a tree during a huge ice storm, and I can still vividly remember my initial conversation with an exasperating insurance rep.
See Busy Family go on vacation tomorrow?
Hokey Pokie.
I was a stellar square dancer in Jr. High. Did all the complex moves.
Hope this episode leaves you none the worse.
Call the tree people and pretend to be the insurance folks. That should get the ball rolling.
I'm so sorry to hear about the accident. I hope everything works out.
I already posted, but the Moblog is working again and I just saw those tree shots... wow! Just a few thoughts: 1)You have a very pretty house (what I can see of it, anyway - being all obsured by that large tree, such as it is... you might want to do something about that!) 2)How does the Great Tree Incident of '05 (as I shall henceforth be referring to it) impact the Busy Family Vacation? and 3)That is one large-a#$ tree!
Wow...do you have any hair left b/c I think I'd have pulled mine out by now.
How about your XM radio?. Destroying that would tick me off....Seriously, I really do hope everything is ok and I hope you don't end up with the same damned adjuster I had after my flood...grrrrrrr
Oh, THIS is not the type of thing you hope for when you're hoping for something to blog about, is it? I love how you manage to find humor amidst such insanity, Busy Mom, and that you share the laughs with all your loyal readers. I feel terrible laughing about your predicament, though. Godspeed to you and your tree cleanup!
I hate insurance companies and I grew up with my father working for one. When there is a problem, you can't find them, but be late one day for their bill and they are all over you like flies on Shit. Hope it all works out for you.
