This may be one of those things that loses something when I re-tell it, but I laughed and laughed. I was talking to my mother a few minutes ago and she was telling me that a friend from work called to catch her up on the goings on there.
My mother works at an inpatient alcohol and drug treatment center that is actually rather isolated, it is kind of far from town and set way off the road. It seems that a local ice cream man, complete with merry song and "Watch for Children" sign, made it all the way there and up to the treatment areas. The patients were about 15 deep in line before he was sent on his way by the staff. I wondered if it was actually some sort of escape plan or a drug drop and, apparently, it wasn't. The guy was just looking to sell some ice cream and accidentally found a captive audience.

"captive audience"
Bwhahahaha Yes, I spewed my Diet Coke when I read that line.
Maybe they sent him packing because he was selling Rum'n'Raisin ice cream. Or those Kahlua and Baileys ones you can get now (Well, we can over here, anyways).
Well, you know, those munchies are killer, and an ice cream sandwich can't be beat!
So they weren't allowed to have any ice cream?
Your title is the absolute BEST part of this post. (all of it is wonderful, though, I must say!)
I betthe foot shaped ice cream that had the gum ball in the big toe was the favorite!
BTW......come have a look at my blog. I am thinking of starting a new site that is NASCAR News. What do you think everyone?
The staff did the right thing. They didn't want the patients kicking one habit, and picking up another (ICECREAMMAN!!!) while at the facility.
LOL, couldn't help but to laugh on that one BM.
Would have made for an interesting escape plan, though ... ;)
Can you imagine if he pulled up to the local jail?
hahaha!!!! funny!
I'll bet it was the bomb pops!
I think they just didnt' want them to spoil their dinner. Which I'm also sure was why the residents were lined up!
