The Preschooler Formerly Known As Busy Baby has made a remarkable recovery. I was worried he had strep since Busy Boy had it a few days ago, but all is clear, seems to be just a virus. The only residual he seems to have is crying about every. damn. thing. This must go. Soon.
He was, in fact, feeling well enough to go to his first soccer practice. Yep, he's playing soccer this year! Now, normally, I wouldn't sign a 3 year old up for soccer, but he was dying to do it and he can actually play the game. Now, it remains to be seen if he will play the game come game time, but we'll see. The way we figure, it will either be a lot of fun or it'll be a disaster. He got his very own purple jersey with the number 4. Practice is at a local park and I nearly cried since the last time we visited that particular park was when he was an infant in a carrier and now he's so big! Wah! Now who's crying about everything?

For Local Blog

Hooray for Busy Preschooler! Now could he maybe update his blog? 'Cause it's been a while.
I'm just saying.
My kids started when they were 4, and that's quite a feat to make it through a Canadian spring's soccer weather! Ben did awesome at that age and he was #4 also. Sarah mostly picked dandelions and blew off the fluff. She did end up being an excellent soccer player though. LOL
At four, Drew "played soccer" pretty well, but Porter sat on the sidelines with Naked Baby. It sure made for cute pictures, though.

My 4 year old wants to play soccer so badly! But the league here doesn't start until 5. Very disappointing.
Hopefully, for you, the crying will stop soon. That just wears me out!
So hard seeing them grow up...
Travis signed up for soccer - he was a great cheerleader as he ran beside the ball, never actually coming into contact with it!
Our son starting playing soccer at the age of four. This year he plays his final season as a senior in high school. We're crying too.
Awww the littllies that play soccer for our club are so gorgeous - they run about the fied in a pack - too cute. Go Busy Preschooler!
Seth played in the spring, right at his 4th birthday. That was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life.Be prepared for lots of laughs and never really knowing the score.lol.Ours would score at any goal. They didn't really get which one was theirs.
Aw, go Prechool Boy! We tried Kyle in the 3/4 year old soccer league and it just happened that the U10 group practiced at the same time. He refused to practice with his age group, he wanted to play with the big kids! Maybe we'll try again in a few years.
Interested to hear how it goes. My three-year-old boy is great at soccer, but I've held him out of playing until he's the same age as the youngest teams here which is Under 5 (mostly four and five year olds). I don't want him to get discouraged and then not like the game after he's shown so much interest.
No, they're not supposed to grow up that fast! make it stop!
