How to tell when your kids know the hurricane help drillThere's a new girl who started today in Busy Girl's class, she's from Biloxi, MS, and is here because of the hurricane.
Busy Girl: "She's really nice, she sat with us in art."
Me: "Did she lose her home in the hurricane?"
Busy Girl: "Yeah, I think so."
Me: "Wow, do you know if she needs anything? We have some extra uniforms around here or some school supplies."
Busy Girl: "Mommmmm, she has resources already, OK? I already asked."

Just in case we didn't know, she's on top of it... just like mom. ;o)
She did NOT say 'resources!' I love it.
That Busy Girl--smart AND compassionate.
lol aswwww :)
resources. ah. yes. those.
Kids say the weirdest grown up stuff sometimes.
Sniff sniff.......she's growing up so fast!
Well, she has had a good teacher on compassion!
"she has resources"... hahahahah!
It's so sweet that she had already asked! LOL about "resources." My 4 year old had a "situation" the other day (couldn't turn off the kitchen faucet).
Well, good for her---you should be proud of yourself...sounds like you've taught her well!! :)
Ya' gotta love a kid who pays attention. ;)

I'm totally tearing up here - your daughter is MAGNIFICENT!
Resources, huh? That's a lot better word that "stuff." Your child will go a long ways....
That is too cute. :)
She sounds so grown up. And so responsible.
Good work, Busy Mom
