Home again, home again

I made it home! I flew from DC to Charlotte, NC to home (and, boy, are my arms tired) and went to a soccer game all before 9am. The Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby had three goals today! This has been the longest day in history. Just got back from my mother's work picnic (an event she chaired for many years) and she was given a big award. I've known about it for a couple of weeks and it was my job to get her there. I was so afraid she'd decide that she wasn't up to going that I have checked on her obsesssively every day, I think she thought I was coming unglued there for a while.

I was getting ready to type "not much else going on", but I realized that's a good thing after the past few days. I turn 41 here pretty soon. It's not like 40. Forty was fun, people give you parties and stuff for forty. Forty-one is just another year closer to fifty. They gave us 10 year planners at our meeting. Did you hear that?!! There are currently printed calendars that will still be current WHEN. I'M. FIFTY!

Oh, and yeeeee haww! Check out those standings! You gotta understand, this is a big deal for us.

Welcome home, Busymom!
As for the calendar, it wouldnt matter if I had a 10 year one. I dont think I could keep up with one for that long.

Welcome home! And YAY PFKBB!

You know I was t h i s close to going to Vanderbilt. I even had a scholarship. But I was a big wuss & didn't want to live that far from home. So I after college, I married an AF man. Go figure.

I watched that game. It was great...I always root for Vandy, as long as they aren't playing the Vols. What a way to start the season...

Welcome Home!

Welcome back!
I'm not 41 yet, but I'm sure that it ain't no thing. ;o) It'll still be fun.

Trust me, the 40s are great!

At least I think they are. They came with significant short term memory loss, so I can't be completely sure.

Welcome home!

Hey, I had to turn 42....and am rapidly approaching 43...eeekkkk!

I wanted to thank you for recommending "Confessions of Busy Mom". I've been watching my bookstore for a couple of weeks and finally spotted it....it is just tooooo funny...I'm lovin' it!

Welcome home! I guess the planner could be a sign that you've got job security- after all, they wouldn't waste ten year planners on someone they didn't figure would still be working there.

I'm not going to think about how old I'll be in ten years time. Welcome home!

That was a fabulous game!! I watched every second of it. All my in-laws are in MS and I was just thrilled that Vandy won. Surpirsed but thrilled!

10 year calendars eh? GA will issue you a driver's license for 10 years and if you're renewing the old one you can keep the same picture. I'll be looking 35 for a loooooooong time now. :)

Now I know what that flapping in the sky was all about yesterday.

Yeah!! Go Dores and Roll Tide. Glad you finally made it home.

I am really glad you and your baggage didn't get shuttled off to Boise.

Congratulations on becoming slightly more than half as old as me. The comparison will make you realize how young you are. And I see you already updated "About Me." Damn. I have been lying in wait.

Okay, how about THIS: Florida 16, Tennessee 7. (But it is really nice to see Vanderbilt doing well. I love that name.)

I couldn't believe the TIde wasn't scheduled to play Vanderbilt this year. As good as the C'dores are playing I am finding myself cheering for them every game.
