Pumpkin pie: mmmm...Nutmeg? Not so much.

Now, if you want to make me a pumpkin pie, sweet potatoes or eggnog, it's not like I'm going to refuse it, but, for the love of McCormick, lay off the nutmeg. Yack!

I love pumpkin pie! And hold the nutmeg for me too.

For me, the eggnog is the vessel that holds my nutmeg!

You know nutmeg is an hallucinogen, don't you?

Yep. (How do I know that? I just do, that's all.)

I just knew you couldn't be perfect!

Pass me your unwanted nutmeg. I'll give it a happy home...

Oh, and Susan? You're welcome over at our place any time... bring your arcane knowledge of hallucinogens also (how did you even know how to spell that? Hmm??)

Ug, nutmeg.......yuck! Im with you Mom

I'm so glad you said that. Hubby has asked me to make him a pumpkin pie this year and I don't have any nutmeg in the house. I think I'll just skip it.

it's in the pumpkin pie spice that's so populat...however, a tiny bit of nutmeg in mashed potatoes is yum.

Susan, it can also be fatal if you eat too much of it. I keep that in mind when my husband pisses me off...coroners never would think to look for toxic levels of nutmeng.

We are still trying to figure out what exactly we are going to do for Thanksgiving. And yes, too much nutmeg = YACK!

I like a little nutmeg, but it is SO easy to cross the line. Better to err on the side of caution, IMO.

I put nutmeg in my sweet potato casserole. There was one flavor I didn't like. I think it must have been nutmeg!

nutmeg is fine, eggnog should be outlawed.

*gags*

Then you better make sure when you get a pumpkin pie blizzard from DQ, you tell them to leave off the nutmeg. And I highly recommend getting one before the season is over.

Ah, Ben, I'm full of interesting facts like that (or I'm just full of it, hard to tell).

And good to know that the nutmeg can be fatal--that COULD come in handy this weekend, what with all the in-laws . . .

Happy Thanksgiving, Busy Mom! You have the coolest readers.

oooh, I agree - nutmeg yuck! along with curry, but who mentioned curry???

Mmmmm. Nutmeg. But fresh nutmeg is sooooo much better. None of that spice rack bottle stuff.

Pumpkin pie is my favorite of all time. It's the BEST pie in the world! With whip cream and you can even add some graham cracker crumbs on the whipped cream. Did I mention I LOVE pumpkin pie. Da' best, I swear. Mmmmm, pumpkin!

Thanks so much for coming over to visit.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now pass the soup and the ravioli.

Pumpkin pie - yuck!! Eggnog - Yummy!! Nutmeg = hallucinogen and nearly undetectable poison - running right out to lay in a good supply right now!!!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Busy Mom to you and to yours!!!!!!!

Love pumpkin pie! Are you making any other pies sans nutmeg?

Love nutmeg. Hate sweet potatoes!

Great googly moogly, you sure can't please all of the people all of the time...

Cinnamon. Cloves. Ginger. No nutmeg.

Yup, I'm with you!

Hee. Knew there was a reason I loved my nutmeg grinder. OOOh, colours!
