Oh I know what you mean, I always feel so overwhelmed when I go there. It's like, where do I begin??

Me too... but not because I'm not crafty, but because they are always out of what I want!!!!! Gah!

With three girls, I live at Michael's. It's just so damn expensive. And you've always got to remember that 40% off coupon from the paper. I wish we had a Joann's. Not that I've ever been to one, but she just sounds nicer than Michael, somehow. More willing to help.

I always go into a craft coma when I go in Michael's. The last time I went in to "browse" my husband had to drag me out of the scrapbook sticker aisle after 30 minutes. I've never owned a glue gun and I'm proud of it!

I love Michael's! I love to make crafts too! Come on over, and we can make cool snowmen that look like they're made from marshmallows! Um...I have wine!?

I am not craftily impaired but Michael's aisles are too close together and I get claustrophobic! I prefer Hobby Lobby. Bigger and more selections.

Heh. I worked there all through college... ohh the stories I could tell. (especially the ones from this time of year) ;)

My craft customer service skills are a little rusty... but I can still tell you what kind of glue to use to stick a pom pom on popsicle stick. How may I help you? ;)

What kind of words?? heehee Moved blogs again.

Sorry, gave you the wrong address the first time. Please don't use those words around me, and I see you rolling your eyes. : )

As I sit here and read your post I am currently makeing 100 candy cane Rudolph's, all supplies from Michael's. My son-in-law is currently serving in Iraq with the 101st. The Christmas party is tomorrow for all of the children of his unit. My husband is going to be Santa Claus. I agree though Michael's can make just about anybody say bad words!

The snotty salespeople or the ones who ignore me make me say bad words. I'm not crafty either and my stress level already goes up 200% the minute I walk into that store.

When I go to check out there and someone has bought 45 flowers, fake, individually priced, and the clerk has to ring each one individually -

I want to bash my head against the wall and scream, and then I see the adorable wall ornament for very little money that I almost bashed my head against, put it in my cart, and the world is well again.

It also helps that they sell chocolate at the check stands.

:)

Oh, honey. Just parking at Michael's makes me say bad words.

Just thinking that my girls will go crazy inside of the store, makes me say bad words.

I hate Michael's too, but it is because I am a crafty person wanna-be. I spend way too much money their with assorted projects that get to various stages of completed.

I also LOVE Wilton products and they have the best assortment available (that I have seen) without needing a special order.

Oh my... do you read susie sunshine? The woman amazes/amuses me! She may inspire you.
