Busy Boy's defensive moves
Basketball started yesterday, Busy Girl's team played a tough game, but came up short, and, Busy Boy's team won. Busy Boy's team, man, they were like a different group of kids in the game, as opposed to the group that took 30 minutes to complete a pick in practice without all 5 of them ending up on the floor. Busy Girl plays up top Football today, just sitting here hoping the Titans don't make complete fools of themselves. I'm having to watch in the kitchen because the TV in the den is permanently stuck on "line" and it seems that the only way to fix it is with the remote that was rendered useless months ago. Since I'm hanging out in the kitchen (even more than usual) and it was in my bookmarks on the computer, I started some of this in the (dammit, the Colts scored, again) crockpot. I really need to be doing the stuff needed to enable us to get back on the hamster wheel tomorrow, but I don't have any one dollar bills to get lunch and drink money together for the week. Anybody got any ones? (this wench "woo-hoo"-ing for Indy on CBS sounds like a fire engine). The dirty clothes in the laundry room are taunting me, but I have conquered this dishes.

I'm starting to feel some of the Christmas shopping pressure, since, my mother informed me that I needed to do her shopping as well. She's doing OK (she has cancer, for those of you just tuning in), but I just have this nagging "feeling" about her heath, nothing specific, I dunno. I also found out that my MIL isn't planning to come here for Christmas which means we travel the 2 hours there the morning of the 24th and come back late that night. I'm not mad that we need to spend time with her, we've done that for years, but I got spoiled last year when she came up here. It just means that I have to have EVERYTHING done here on the 23rd, I don't really have the 24th to finish up details. Oh well, poor me, and all that. But, only 38 days to go...

Hmm...should I be concerned that The Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby is doing some sort of rhythmic gymnastics action with the tie on my bathrobe?

Okay, I'm lost - 38 days until what? January 11th? OOOOOOKAAAAAAY.....

You'll have to let us know how the soup is, I've never made a good potato soup yet. (burnt the last attempt...)

mmmmm, that soup sounds good. What time is supper?

Sometimes, being this far away from family and having no way to be both places is a blessing. We can just sit back and tell whomever wants to come up here that they are welcome. My parents are coming. For two weeks. Whoops! Shoulda been more specific!

Ok, Don't hate me for saying this, but I want the colts to win. It's the the only team I have left to cheer for since the Boilermaker's flopped this year.

I was hoping your "rhythmic gymnastics" link was to a photo of your son with the bathrobe tie! Sounds hilarious. Love that stuff! Does he dance in the car aisle at Target too?? (you know the toy cars that have push buttons and play great 80s rock songs :)

Yes, the Colts are now 12/0. Trust me, my husband informs of that fact, hmmmmm, every 10 second or so. But the big news of the day here is, WE BEAT THE BILLS. I had to say that because my Dolphins are killing me, and not slowly either.

Oh, I love allrecipes. Oh, I'm such a disorganized fool on Sundays. I can barely set up carpool for the week before collapsing on the couch. It gets so messy around here on the weekends, I get thrown into a depression that can only be resolved by Cleaning Frenzy Monday!

38 days til Christmas Busy Mom? Re-check that calendar or you might just miss it altogether!

on a completely separate note... does anyone have any odea of how to make that stupid clorox bath wand cleaning pad stick to the wand head? it ALWAYS comes off as soon as it gets wet, then it won't stick again for ANYTHING! any tips out there in cyberland???

the soup sounds good, maybe with some grilled cheese sandwiches.

Definitely a cause for concern.

2 hours is nothing. We get to drive 8 hrs, spend 2 days, drive 8 hours, spend 2 days, drive 5 back home. Next year we are staying home. The travelling makes me grumpy. I was spoiled last year when we stayed home and they came to us!

My wife told me about your posting, due to the Colts "bashing".

Goooo Colts! ;)
