Another.......fun.......filled........evening........at..........the........hospital........
on.....dial........up.......
Not much new to report on the reprisal of my role as the Sandwich Generation Poster Child. We're just kind of here. She (my mother's in the hospital with respiratory problems and she has lung cancer if you're just joining in) gets really short of breath after exertion of any kind, but is more or less OK when she's not moving. I'm here for the night, that's the hardest part. My dad (who's a teacher), Busy Dad and the kids are still in school finishing up exams and, though there's never a good time, this is a particularly bad time for me to be away from home. I've not done much Christmas preparation and I was actually in a bit of a panic about that before she got sick. I guess it will all work out like it's supposed to. I'm taking tomorrow off work, and, if I get any sleep tonight, I'm going to try to knock out all the shopping in one fell swoop. We'll see. Thanks so much for all the good wishes, please know how much I appreciate them all.

Happy Christmas! Where's the nog?
You're in my thoughts Busy Mom. And your Busy Mom too! *Hugs!*
You're in my thoughts Busy Mom. And your Busy Mom too! *Hugs!*
Thinking of you and yours.
Your mom is in my prayers, as are you. Everything will work out. I hope you get some sleep! (((hugs)))
Only good thoughts for you and your Mom. My Mother suffers from COPD and RSD/Fibra Myalgia... It's never a good time and you feel more helpless than good.
Take care of yourself in the meantime and I am saying a few Novina's for you..
I missed your earlier post somehow. I'm sorry to hear that your mom is feeling so poorly. I will keep her and all of the "Busies" in my prayers. Hope you get some rest.
Praying for your mom.
I'll type slowly just in case you're still on dialup.
As for your procrastination: You got no skillz. We just started decorating the Christmas tree tonight and have done no shopping for gifts...neither do we have any immediate plans to do so.
I've not sent out a single Christmas card.
I suck.
What Christmas prep could you possibly need to do when you already have that amazing light up poinsettia basket?
Makes my whiney holiday post seem trivial. I hope your Mom recovers quickly and out of the hospital for the holidays.
You and your mother, (as well as the whole busy family), are in my prayers. I am so sorry. I hope that she recovers quickly. May this bout be short and the next a long time in coming - my Christmas wish for you.
My heart goes out to you and your family.
Carol
Remember one little thing - Christmas isn't about the pressies, or the food or the Cards or all the other stuff we get caught up in - just be with your mum and family - that's all that matters. Friends will understand.
Take care
Just to let you know you and your family are in my thoughts. Here's to easy breathing for your mom and hopes that you find all of the Christmas gifts you are after.
I'm there for you and the Busy Family. Just take one thing at a time and things will work out.
Hope your mom gets outta there soon! I cant believe its been 6 months since my dad has been in the hospital. I've been holding my breath, no pun intended!

Peace.
I am stealing this format next time I'm on dial-up, okay? Hope your mom gets better soon -
