Taking controlOK. A plan. A plan, I need a plan. Right now, the plan is to run around in circles waving my hands in the air.

I love that plan and use it all the time!
breathe in, breathe out, repeat
I think we need to talk about this 'in group'...
If your plan is to run for public office, I'd say you are right on track.
HEY...that's my plan!
**waving hands**
But, I'll gladly share for a box of chocolates...or perhaps a cup of Dunkin' Donuts coffee!?!
Okay - here it is, my secret EXPOSED....trust me on this, it works EVERY TIME:
Amazondotcom
Shopping done in 1 afternoon
I'd also say screw the cards and buy the cookies if I were you...unless TPFKABB has some time on his hands and is good at licking envelopes ;)
You may borrow my plan. It is well worn but still serviceable. 1. Find your list (I know you have at least one) 2. Find a pen or pencil (one is probably under something on the kitchen counter) 3. Cross off everything on the list. Do it slowly and enjoy each item that is marked completed. You made the list, you get to cross things off it. 4. Search the vacinity for someone who will give you a hug. 5. If the list is hiding in a pile of Christmas wrap and there are no writing instruments to be found, pour yourself a glass of wine and proceed straight to #5.
Enjoy your family and above all, stay well so you can fill us in on what is going on. Best Wishes, Sue
Cursing Mama is right on. 90% of our shopping was online this year. The only drawback is you have to have some sort of idea of what you are after. No aisle browsing. Good luck!
Can't say as I blame you. Hope things get better. I'll say a prayer for your Mom.
I am all about shopping online. And spinning in circles with hands and arms flailing.
Two words . . . gift card. It's always the right color, and it always fits!
...Wave them like you just don't care!!
Whatever it takes!!
I hope your mom is feeling better!
The "Panic, fan, and run"... it's a joke among firefighters that people ignore "stop, drop, and roll" and do the "panic, fan, and run". It also works well for overwhelmed mommies who need to do their Xmas shopping!
I like that plan!
Can I run with you?
Just catching up on blogs today. Sorry to hear that your mom is back in the hospital. Here's to her speedy recovery and hoping that you get with the "plan" that does the most for you! Cheers!
Oh my gosh!! Great minds think a like. I'm waving my hands around in the air.
Hey, I'm 41 too! and I work in a hospital. Although, I have five kids and have been married for 20 years to a military man.
Madie
I usually write a "to do" list, lose it, look for it, get frustrated, then just do somehing.
What's more important? Now you have a plan... Wasn't that easy?
Unfortunately my plan this year is ignore it...it will go away...wrong...but I can wish...humor me and say RIGHT!!
Hey, I've used that plan before.
Sorry to hear your mom is back in the hospital. Hope she's out before Christmas!
All the best to your Mom and good luck shopping.
Quit stealing my plans!
But did you wave 'em like you just don't care?
I did so much of my shopping online this year. It almost felt like cheating. But it is done. YAY!
Or put your left foot in! I am sooo wishing good wishes for your mom! And that you get enough shopping done to feel "done" so you can enjoy a fabulous Christmas!!!
i think that's a good plan. I'll join you :)
I'm sorry to read about your mom, that's the wrong kind of busy this time of year.
I'm with the others on amazon and bonus - free shipping! Enjoy a frothy beverage while shopping at the comfort of your computer.
Yes! That is exactly how I handle the situation with my mom in the hospital. Not very productive, but a superb warning to others around you of your state of mind.
You know where I am, sweetie. Feel free to call if you need to.(hugs)
For optimum effectiveness, you should be shouting, "What'll I DO? What'll I DO?" while you run around.
