All "Let It Snow". All the time.
One of the side effects of spending the past oh, say, 72 hours in the hospital (mother might be discharged today), the car and the mall is that I've heard a LOT of Holiday Christmas music. I like Christmas music, but Jiminy Christmas, how many people have recorded "Let it Snow"? I'm telling you, yesterday alone I heard: Boyz II Men, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Brian Setzer, Chicago, Rosemary Clooney and various Muzak renditions. Apparently, anyone can record it, so I'm going to add my name to the list. Ready? "Oh, the weather outside is frightful..." Yeah, well, I know, everyone's a critic. But, the next time you are asked, "Who sings "Let it Snow?", you can say "Busy Mom" because you read it on the Internets.

Hi. Sorry I haven't been around for a little while.
Prayers still being said for your mom and your family though. I'm sorry to hear that your mom was in the hospital again.
Now about that music stuff. . . LOL, it's the one Christmas song I haven't done down at the Ranch. My fave to do is Elvis' Blue Christmas.
Prayers, love and hugs.
"...and there's simply no place to go..." Except to the damn hospital, day after day, Bing, you butt.
Let it Snow is followed closely by the many, many (far too many) reditions of Santa Claus is Coming to Town. (The most frightening of which was Steven Tyler's redition which was done on an Episode of Lizze McGuire and frightened my daughter to death)
DH and I just finished Christmas shopping today, so don't feel bad. You know my motto is 'Never put off till tomorrow what you can put off till the day after tomorrow'
I think my favorite version of "Let It Snow" is by Dean Martin. Jessica Simpson's rendition makes me want to drive those little plastic coctail swords into my eyeballs.
There are 2 stations here in the Twin Cities that switched their format to all Christmas music all the time before Thanksgiving. I guess they're trying to keep up with Target. BLECH
On the way to school this morning, we heard the Cocktail Hour rendition of Jingle Bells, sung by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, complete with clinking highball glasses and slurred words. Seriously. It was very festive!
LOL...I'll stick to "Gramma Got Run Over By A Reindeer". :)
Hope your mom has escaped the hospital.
hope your mom is doing better, busymom...
