I saw a movie. In a theatre!Just got back from seeing The Chronicles of Narnia. That kind of stuff is usually not my favorite, but I loved it! That is, once I stopped crying before the end of the opening credits and got over the child molestation vibes (note: that's not what happened, but, it was a bit creepy) toward the beginning.
Now, let's all get back to using Blingo so I can see a movie next year, too.

Okay, first of all, you are NUTS for going shopping on the 26th! Nothing good is on sale until mid-january when all the retailers start panicking about inventory and stuff!
We're reading The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and hope to finish it by the time Narnia comes out on DVD.
My littlest one got a Nintendo DS and the game Narnia, she loves it, so far......
My oldest girl went to see that on Monday night; they never got in! The seats were all taken, so they went to see dick and jane instead. She was upset she told me she was really looking forward to seeing it. We will not see it until in comes out on OnDemand.
I took my ten year old -- a couple of her friends -- out to see the movie for her birthday.
Awesome!
I also cried...too much...and thought Mr. Thomness was a bit, freaky, in the beginning.
I mist up at commercials where the girlfriend tells the boyfriend, "I think we should talk about our relationship and what might be in the future."
Then he escapes on a skateboard. Surely C.S. Lewis wrote something about that too.
My crowd loved the movie, tho my non-video playing boys were alarmed by the scary ghouls on the White Witch's side and the violence of war, which is , of course, reality.
I loved that movie too. My kids read the book and they loved the movie just as much.
I saw Chicken Little in Theaters, so that is my quota for this year (why oh why did it have to be a stinker).
I will have to wait for DVD for Narnia.
We loved the movie as well. I thought the witch looked awesomely evil during the war scene!!
Ok, I didn't get me no child molestation vibe and you know I look for that kind of sick stuff.
girl, I haven't voiced that, but I TOTALLY was creeped out by the little child/ creepy naked man deal---- and it wasn't like (at least to me) in the book..
it made me squirm, seriously.. now I don't feel so crazy!
I got the child molestation vibe, too! Lucy, Lucy, don't go with that strange man to his house! He'll drug you!
What exactly happened when she was asleep, anyway? I still don't get it...
I've been thinking about going to see that....and I haven't been to a movie in years (like before the kids were born, I think, isn't that sad?!). I read all the Narnia books when I was a kid and thought it was something I could maybe actually sit thru.
