Quityerbitchen and take my order.Dear Girl Who Works at the Panera Location I Frequent:
If you are that unhappy, seek employment elsewhere. You asked them for a job, they didn't ask you.
Sincerely,
Busy Mom

For Local Blog

Oooooooooooo...crabby service would make me a crabby customer.
Haha! I think you should have taken a picture of her and moblogged it so all of you rlocal readers could greet her with "How dare you be rude to Busymom!?"
I'm with you. The one and only time I've ever been there I met up with bitchy attitude, bad service, and mediocre food. Not going back again.
I just love wait staff that share their employment disconnect with the public!
Why is it that so many of today's people who work in such a job don't understand that they are in a SERVICE sector job?
Brings back a quick memory of what my 'o so wise' mother told me when I returned home beetchin' from my first evening as a part-time sales associate in a retail establishment: "Well honey, you applied for work and that's what they gave you." Shut me up but I was still an angry 16 year old because she was 'just my mom' and could NEVER understand what I was going through!!
Amen Busy Mom!
Although I have to say that dealing with miscreant customers at Christmas is enough to make any service employee want to stab their eye out. Particularly in Franklin, where people demand more of their service folk than they are prepared to tip.
I understand completely. At the BX here on base, there is a great little pizza place, and I swear all the people who work there PMS everyday of their lives.
That's too bad. The Panera that I frequent has fabulous food and fabulous service. Although I haven't encountered lousy service at Panera, there have been many a times when I have run into people and I think...."why in the world is this person working here?!" Just blows my mind away.
AMEN!
Can we get that put on little cards? Or perhaps a sticker?
Would it be assault if you slapped a sticker with that on their forehead while you were waiting at the drive thru window?
Does she know who she was dealing with! She probably hangs out with Billy......LOL!
You know, I've been hearing a lot more complaints around all of them since Corporate bought out the franchises and stuck new managers in the stores.
While I would certainly not want to personally deal with such a person, I certainly can also personally appreciate at times not being happy with your employer.
No, you shouldn't have to deal with it, but neither should service people have to deal with the month long barrage of snarky customers.
Just the way some things are. Just be happy you are not stuck in such a position. Smile. And say, "Can I have my freakin' change please"
Something like this happens to me at Kohl's a lot. The young girls that work there are always bending my ear telling me how hard they work (I don't ask.) I keep thinking it's the same girl then realize I'm in a completely different store miles from the other one. I must look interested.
