Let's do it like they do on the Discovery ChannelI heard the faint rustling again and stopped to watch as I have on several other occasions. He stands poised, looking intently at the selection before him. He's particular, only the best will do, even if they're very small pieces. The chill in the air doesn't deter him, in fact, it may be what drives him. With just the right materials in his possession, he goes up, down and back up again, all day long. Slowly, things are taking shape, it's what he has to do.
I learned a valuable lesson today from this sight,

Sometimes they're just fascingating, though. Aren't they?!
A former co-worker used to call squirrels rats with tails. We have a daredevil squirrel in our backyard and I love to watch him drive our dogs nuts!
I so knew exactly what you were talking about right away! Our squirrels are so busy right now, building their nests. I only hate it when they go on our covered deck and rip up my tablecloth for nest materials. Last year I saw a mama moving her babies from one tree to another, one by one, in her mouth. It was so cool!
