Busy Mom BarometerCoffee of the Day: Whatever Busy Dad made this morning, but, changing over to Diet Coke in a minute here.
Listening to: 91X SanDiego
Today's Mental Jukebox Selection: (has sound) "Cheney's Got a Gun" Yeah, I know. I don't really care about the event, but, I can't seem to ditch the song.
Reading: "Light From Heaven" (the last of the Mitford Series, LOVE them)
Thinking About: the fact that I never told you my mother is home. More later on her, she's feeling as good as it gets, I think.
Product I Wish I'd Invented: this one.

That door is sooo Les Nessman.
I have a sort of funny story about cubes and doors...but it may loose something in the translation so I'll just spare you the details.
ohhhh ohhhh ohhh I LOVE a good infectiontious disease discussion over lunch!!
I hope the I.D. talk isn't about food borne illnesses!!
That cube door is so cool!
Now *I've* got the Cheney tune in my head...how interesting that it almost sounds like that in parts of the song!
The cube door. That's great! Although I can't imagine the hurt feelings that would ensue at the office..
I just bought the first Mitford book not long ago. Can't wait to read it.
Yum! Lunch AND Infectious Disease Power Point slides.
Good to hear your mom is back home.
yeah, i can't think of anything that would tickle my tastebuds more than a good lecture on infectious diseases! (that's kind of like trying to eat dinner while watching CSI or HOUSE, doncha think? i'm guessing yes!)
soooooo glad your mom is home and feeling comfortable... : )
Thanks, now I've got the song, too.
I got completely and unnecessarily blessed out for installing a similar contraption to the cube door when I worked for a certain Fortune 500 manufacturing company. But every cube should have one. And a roof.
Love that Cube Door!! So miss having my own office, which I managed to get at one job thanks to medical college docs and private docs not being able to agree which group should get to put a doc in that office!
so what did they feed you? Anything good? Usually drug reps pull out all the stops.
If they have Diet Coke, I'll go...
BTW I am moving back to my blogspot, you inspired me!
The door to the cubicle should be a godsend to the porn industry.
I totally love you Busy Mom!
Oh my gawd...that cubicle door took me back to my days of doing systems (cubicle) layouts for a living....
Going to email that link to my designer buddy...she should get a good laugh out of it. And if she sells any, I'll make sure you get a cut of the deal! :)
WOO HOOO! Sounds like a hoot!
Me - teaching a recertification course to 40 docs and nurses today!
Got to love ACLS and BLS recerts!
MMMMM! Infectious Disease!! Serve me up a big spoonful of that pseudomonas casserole!!
I read a lot of the Mitford Series but I kind of got sick of them at some point. Maybe when Dooley went off to college? Or inerited some money?
OK, I'm not quite right but I'd loved to have sat through that ID lecture. I'm in IT now but I loved doing Infection Control. Hated the policy part but LOVED the epidemiology and have considered getting my NP to specialize in ID. Problem is I don't see a demand or even a need for too many ID nurse practitioners!
I LOVED the first Mitford book...I didn't know there are 5 more?!? I must go forth and get those! :)
DANG it! I can't believe I missed the Infectious Disease Luncheon AGAIN!!
How was lunch? Did you watch your hands before and after? I have an emotional barometer I have used for years. When I find myself using a certain 4 letter word at all, it means I need to take a time out. The number of times used in an hour or, more likely a 15 minute period, increases the need to find a dark corner and hide.
I'm glad your mom is home.
How'd lunch go? Did you catch anything?
I should have previewed my last post. And while "did you watch" your hands makes me laugh, I intended to ask if you "washed" your hands before and after the meeting. Cause, see, that is how you stop the spread of infections..oh well. Watching them might work too.?
