As some of you already know, from time to time nice people let me check out some cool stuff and tell you about it. Here's the latest:
I love, love, love cookboks (why, yes, I love "cookbooks", too!). Yes, the irony, I know, I'll give you a minute to process that. Cheap. Fast. Good! has won my heart. It's got stories, tips and hints, as well as over 25 simple, realistic recipes. I love it, and, if I can use it (without a crockpot, Donna), so can you!
We are...The Laurie Berkner Band is a music video DVD release from the popular children's musician, Laurie Berkner. It even debuted on the Billboard Music Video DVD Chart at #1. The DVD passed the preschool test as The Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby took it to school and his classmates loved it. The teachers told me that the kids eagerly watched the whole thing and enjoyed singing the songs afterward. We have enjoyed it at home, too, even the older kids approve! We first heard her on XM radio, and, her songs have become favorites. It also comes with a bonus CD of five songs. It really is good music, easy for parents to enjoy, too.

I adore Laurie Berkner. Is that weird? Really, though, I do.
The cookbook sounds good-- sure has a great title anyway! That's nearly every adjective I strive for in my cooking anyway!

I have noticed that Baby gets up and dances to both the Laurie Berkner commercials and the Kids Bop commercials. So there's definitely something to both!
My son and I both have a crush on Laurie Berkner. I read a cool story on her in USA Today (I think) about how she got started with Noggin. Great read.
