Speaking of burning your fingerprints off..From time to time, we like to share household hints here at Busymom.net. Today's pointer? If, when you open the clothes dryer to find out where the odd noise is coming from, fer the love of God, DO NOT touch the little grill-y looking thing in the back of the drum to try to brush it off. That mother is hot.

Oooh, good tip. I have a nice pair of shorts with a neat little grill burn on them -- on the inside, thank goodness.
Speaking of heat, if I could share a tip to contact lens wearers, it's to wait a few seconds after opening the oven door before looking in there. That way, the lenses won't melt into your eyeballs.
Don't touch any money, drill bits, or other metal stuff that come out of you kids/husbands pockets either! Ouch!

Ouch! I have done those types of things. I have touched curling irons just to see if they were hot. (YES)
