Germ, germ, germ. Germ is the word.Kids are back at school today, antibiotics on board for strep throat. The Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby is not overtly sick, he just continues to test positive from his bout with strep a few weeks ago.
My very own little germ factory.
I saw The Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby's soccer coach's wife (I'll give you a minute to catch up) at lunch today here at MMC.
Wife: "How are you? I don't want to get too close, I think I may have strep throat and I'm on my way home. My son (The Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby's teammate) has it too. He got sick the day after our last game"
Me: "That's weird. My kids all have it...oh... hell... I'm sorry."

Wow! You don't just have a germ factory, you live in a germ community it seems.
Thank you for inserting deliberate pauses to allow my feeble brain to keep up. I so respect that!
Yeah, gotta LOVE those parents who spread the "wealth" so to speak. I especially love the phone calls I get the day after playdates..."I just wanted you to know that right after Travis left (amazing how it is always right AFTER), Johnny came down with a fever and he has strep/flu/the crud/insert your own ailment."
THAAAAAAANKS
Wow, your whole family must have caught it from her little guy! ;)
one of several reasons I don't have children and avoid the little disease infested rodents like the plague...wait...they are the plague.
~ahem~
Actually, something to add - I love (!) when kids come to school in the morning with a note explaining that they may be a little tired because they were sick in the night. They haven't thrown up for two hours now, though, so they should be okay for school. Duh!
As my husband likes to say, "Children -- they are cuter than rats, but just as effective at carrying disease."
I finally got that Cancer Blog post finished. Sorry to hear about the germ carriers, my three are the same. I hope things are going well for you and your mother. My thoughts are with you all.

Perhaps you should take a look at his ass. :) Does he bark?
whoopsie!!! hahahah!!!!
it always amazes me how WELL antibiotics work on strep. My daughter had it a few weeks ago and and was just lethargic & laying around, and the next DAY after the antibiotics, she was wanting to ride her bike. go figure..
I personally am still laying around & lethargic. haha.
What goes around....
You could have a regular daisy chain there, Mom.
Aren't those the moments when you wish you've have thought instead of said!
I've been taught that it's better to give than receive.
Plus...what's wrong with a little sharing?
Tell me you have a macro or something that toggles the text "The preschooler formerly known as busy baby" 'cause it makes me tired thinking you have to type that out manually every time.
OK, I am the EPITOMY of lazy, I know. hahah
I've long since given up worrying about my kids' passing on or receiving germs. Life happens, unless you want to keep them locked up in a closet forever. And I hear that the Child Protective people don't take too well to that approach, anyway.
My sister and I discovered after the fact we'd both suffered from a stomach bug. I 'fessed up and told her that my 9 mo old (whom she'd spent time with over the weekend) had had a milder version of same. She is still speaking to me, I think. Now, about those parents who sent the kid in the toddler room to day care with said illness....
Isn't that funny, I had exactly the same thought as JustLinda! I would have to cut and paste it or something although that would probably take longer than just typing the damn thing out!
Oh, and I can relate to the whole sharing thing.
Germ-a-palooza!!
You know, this is how the cliff dwellers died out.
