Now, there's a combination...

OK, I'm watching the live feed from Bonaroo, and, I'm introduced to Matisyahu (<==has sound) who "continues to bring his uncanny, electrifying fusion of orthodox Judaism, classic reggae and hip-hop music to millions of listeners".

I'm loving Matisyahu. It's a funky cool name and his style is..well. It needs to be heard to be believed. So does his look.

"King Without A Crown" is a good one. Is it on that link? Should I just go ahead and click the link to find out? Ok. I will.

For you.

Would now be a good time to humiliate myself and tell you that I've been listening to him on the radio for a long time and I always thought they were saying Modest Yahoo?

No? Um. Hey! Look over there... something shiny!

King without a Crown is just plain GREAT reggae music...putting dat' reggae sound with those hasidem curls is a trip..

I love Matisyahu. I saw him live not too long ago, and it was an amazingly spiritual and exciting event. If you can see him live, SO. And if you can't get his CDs and listen...lots. I'm so glad that he's beome popular with people outside of Judaism so that they don't think all Jews are werid when they wear kippot and tallitim. He's an amazing roll model for Jewish youth.

Am I the only one to find the description, "uncanny, electrifying fusion of orthodox Judaism, classic reggae and hip-hop music" an incredibly scary thing to contemplate?

Oh my goodness, I LOVE Matisyahu!

You know, he can no longer stage dive, touching other women is not allowed.
