Lunch encounters of the BBQ kind

In what is apparently my quest to have lunch with every blogger in town, I went out again today. This is momentous for someone who rarely has lunch with anyone but herself. No, that wasn't a euphemism for anything, ya perverts.

I enjoyed the mid-day meal in the shadow of Rod Stewart with none other than Sista Smiff and CeeElCee at Dr. Funkenswine's place. We may or may not have been a bit loud, but, nonetheless, we got the attention of the man at the next table who asked if we were bloggers. When he turned around, I immediately recognized him as Kerry Woo. He and his lovely wife were attempting to have a nice quiet lunch. Um, sorry.

We had a fine time, top secret pictures were taken, and, I hope we can do it again soon! As usual, the food at the Mothership was out of this world. If you live here, and, you've never been, you're missing out. Wait no longer, go over there right now.

That's awesome. I think you need to organize a national blogger's meetup at The Mothership. Why should just you Nashville people have all the fun?

You couldn't possibly be insinuating that I was loud, would you? Why, nobody has ever used the words "loud" and "obnoxious" when describing being in my presence. Especially not that woman who sat in front of me a month ago at the middle school band concert. Nope. Never.

I always wanted to have a hangout when I was a kid, ala Arnolds or The Regal Beagle...perhaps the Mothership is our Arnolds!

Hell, now that MetroDad is commenting about The Mothership, you know it's arrived. I picture it as this dark blogging hideaway. Do you need a password to get in? Please say yes.

Yup Starbucks is so passe - To be Scene and HEARD at da Mothership while well fed and intellectually stimulated by people who rarely get out is simply ________ !

What a great time - what got my attention was the laughter! Ya'll were having way too much BBQ sauce(d).

I wanna go!!!!

Thanks, Busy Mom. Y'know, it's sometimes exhausting to try to cram months of social interaction into a one hour lunch. You and Sista made it fun and easy. Maybe we'll do something more open-ended next time.

In the words of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Catholic schoolgirls Rule!"

My schedule has been just wacko lately but I'm going on Monday. I can't wait.

So when is it our turn?? After you get back from the Mid-West? I'm home now, e-mail me.
