Shouldn't have had the Diet Coke at 9:30pm

Hey, thanks for all the good wishes on our anniversary! We had a lovely dinner out, and, (don't tell anyone) we ended up at Target. Shut up. I needed a few things and it was right there. It wan't so bad until we ran into someone we knew who knew it was our anniverasry and that normal people don't go to Target on their anniversary. We did actually go to another place for a drink after that, so, we're not completely hopeless.

Just to clarify, the boquet, though not tiny, is not as big as it looks in the picture, I think it's a perspective thing. The ass-bow isn't as big as it looks, either. Notice I didn't say anything about the proportions of actual ass.

Also on Friday, I had lunch with the lovely Malia at Chez Funkenswine. I really enjoyed meeting her, and, we got so wrapped up in out conversation that we were unaware just how much time had passed. I hope her friend who was babysitting didn't give up on her!

In other news tonight, Krystal Vidalia Onion petals are mighty tasty. What a riot, there is a Krystal blog, but, I digress...

Hey, did you know that if you spray flies with Lysol it kinda freezes them in place? Yeah, it's all fun and games until you realize you have dead flies stuck to the window that's now covered in Lysol. (Mental note: get actual bug spray at store).

Speaking of flies, it got up to 100 here in our fair city and the AC in the Busy Van done broke. Despite the best efforts of a freon wielding friend, it is still ADR (Ain't Doin' Right). He is planning to keep working on it, so, I shall continue to drive the Usurped Corolla and hope for the best.

Busy Dad and older Busy Kids are camping in the mountains. Wonder what it means that Busy Dad's backpack full o' stuff is stil camping here in the hallway? I imagine it means I should be glad that I won't have to ride in the same car with him on the way home.

LOL! It would be the same hyper-blog fo rme if I drank Diet Coke, but after 4:00 PM! Hey, you could always say you were buying yourselves an anniversary gift at Boutique Tar-gét! (read: tar-jé).

Camping...in this heat?Is he a glutton for punishment?lol

Maybe it means he'll be home much earlier than planned? Especially if his food's in there :>

Our car also needs a freeon recharge. It's miserable right now, driving in our own 100 degree heat... I hope you guys get a chance soon.

The flies thing-- gross, but soooo true. I think my 4 year old especially enjoys the phenomenon.

Lysol, hmm? I know that windex makes them drop down in mid air, so you can close in for the kill with a paper towel. Then you just wipe off your windows!

Hairspray works well, too! It slows them down enough to give them a hardy death-whack. I haven't used hairspray on my hair in years -- but I keep it around to kill bugs in the bathroom.
I'll try the Lysol, next time. Bug death that smells good.

The Lysol thing is actually more effective than actual bug spray. It kills the bugs (you'd still have dead bugs to clean up if you'd zapped them with bug spray) AND it erases-or at least diminishes-the scent trail that the other bugs use to find the popular places to feed, breed, etc. And it's safer for your family and pets than the regular stuff.

DH and I end up in places like Target at some point or another during just about every date we have. Every one. And I'm not ashamed. It feels almost otherworldly to be there WITHOUT KIDS.

We did furniture shopping on our anniversary! The way things turned out, I wish we had gone to Target instead! *LOL*

I wonder how far away from the house he was when he realized the pack was at home?

Flies, ew.

Email me when you can, please? :)

He went camping without his backpack?

I have heard that old story many times....

My friend was cool with my lack of consideration, that's why she's a good friend!

Once on our anniversary, we ended up at the competition of the store my husband works for. (Confused yet?) He had to make some price comparisions for work. Of course, we ran into my sister and her family!

jeepers.

you weren't kidding about the Target references.

Hey - we recently had our 15th anniversary and guess what? We ended up at Target too! I think we are all quite normal.

I gave up camping for Lent one year and never did it again...

Happy belated anniversary! And what's wrong with Target? It's very romantic without kids.

This is NOT the time of year to be without a/c ANYWHERE! Good luck getting that fixed.

Didn't know that about flies. Will keep Lysol on hand by the caseload now.

We don't even celebrate our anniversary! Glad you had some time to yourself :) And there's nothing wrong with shopping.

Ahh, Busy Mom, You're just the best. I'd so have dinner with you in TN. Yaknow. If I was ever there or anything. :-)

That whole lysol thing is too funny!!

Ok...number 1 - normal people totally go to target on their anniversaries.

Number 2 - As a member of the ass bow wedding dress club, I salute you. (You look beautiful by the way.)

Happy anniversary!

My husband and I went to Target after our last anniversary dinner. We had a great time...well I did!

You are entitled to do anything you want on your anniversary, even go to Target. As, I once told my husband, 'it's our anniversary, and we can eat wherever we please'. I don't know why everyone thinks you have to spend lots of money on your anniversary to have a good time and enjoy the night. Our anniversary is on July 6th, the worse time of the month. We once went out to eat, and ALL restaurants where we went were lined out the door. SO, we decided we'd go where we knew we could get in - Waffle House! Might sound funny to some, but we enjoy being with one another, wherever we eat and enjoy our meal. :).

Hi all! What do you think about conflict in Israel?

Hi all, I need help. Our family computer is running like a slug. It takes forever to startup and open programs and the hard drive activity light is always on. It also uses up a lot of RAM for some reason but the CPU usage is normal. I have another hard drive that is in a removable tray that I use, and that has all the same settings and everything, but that one is using a fraction of the RAM and runs pretty good! Please help! ?
