The Blankee Company - omg, softest blanket ever! I wish they came in adult sizes, but, this baby blanket is incredible. It's a bit pricey, but, definately worth the effort as a special gift or keepsake. *
"Sunny Side of the Street" is a collection of songs from John Lithgow for kids that has a real fun, Broadway feel to it. It's a nice change from the manic, hard-rock feel of current kids music on the radio. I had no idea he had this other career as a children's entertainer, but, he's done several CDs. Go check it out!*
Choose Your Own Adventure: The Abominable Snowman is an interactive DVD where you choose the direction of the story by making selections with the DVD player remote. It's the story of 3 kids who are following their Uncle Rudy to the Himalayas in Nepal on a quest to find the elusive Yeti (Abominable Snowman). My kids love it, each of the choices leads to a full length, yet distinct adventure with viewer's choices determining the very outcome of the adventure. You can theoretically watch the movie 11 times with a different scenario and outcome each time. *

Mary Kate and Ashley Brand clothing has come out with a line of girl's clothes for older girls. I was a little skeptical, too, but, they were put through the Busy Girl test and they were declared, "Cool!". They seem to be affordable, made pretty well, and, are available at W^*al-M^*art. The line also has body mist and lip gloss available at Claire's.*

I like the reviews, except for askablueshirt.com. But I am admittedly a bit biased. Don't get me wrong I like Best Buy... but the Blue Shirts? Idiots. I no longer shop IN a Best Buy store, and only order online. Why? Because when I did used to go into the stores, I seemed to always end up spending more time, doing a blue shirts job, because either they had NO information for the customer, or worse, sometimes were giving false (not intentionally, more from "trying to appear knowledgable") information.
So askablueshirt.com does not fill me with the greatest of confidence. And this lack of trust bore out upon my visit there, as their "recomendations" on the main page was nothing but standard advertisements, and not based on any real world thinking. For example... they recommend for a College Kid, the Motorola Q. Why? Because they want to sell them. Period. Every review of the product has said it is sub-par because it is too bulky to be a good phone, and had too many features stripped away to be a good PDA, so essentially it is the worst of both worlds. Yet this is the blue shirts suggest. Sounds like the web site is no better than the underpaid employees in their stores.
Did you know that Choose Your Own Adventure is making new books as well as the DVDs? See, look http://www.chooseco.com/
