Perpetuating the soccer mom stereotype since 1998

Hey! Wake up! We've gotta go to the soccer field right now!

What? Oops, sorry. Go back to sleep, pretend like I'm not here.

When you do get up, though, we have to be at Busy Girl's soccer game at 7:00, across town for Busy Boy's football game at 9:00, shop for and clean the house for Busy Girl's slumber party birthday party tonight, go The Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby's soccer game at 2:30, and, meet 9 12 year old girls at 5:00 Mass and bring them back for the party.

7am? What happened to sleeping in on Saturdays?

It sounds like you have a very full day! Have fun with 9 12-yr-olds...that wears me out just reading it!

Don't worry... I was already awake at 5:50. :) Coffeehusband had a meeting at work and when his alarm goes off to wake him up - well obviously I'm up too! LOL.

As for todays schedule... yep. That is exactly why 'this' Mommy started to live on coffee. Not only the caffeine (a must!) but those early morning football and soccer games in Northern Minnesota meant that travel mug of coffee in my hands was instant WARMTH!

Once again, you mirror my life. When your child plays soccer it's almost like joining a cult. It consumes your life, if you let it. Luckily for me, my son can't play football until next year, so we only have one sport right now.

Good luck.

your saturday's sound like mine! It's so hard to split activities between kids.. we've taken to writing notes on saturday mornings just to say a quick hello to each other. We never see each other any more LOL.
I just started blogging again.. glad to see your still around. Happy Day!

You are absolutely crazy. Brave. But Crazy.

ahh gee thanks for the invitation but I've got painting to do. Wanna swap??

That is why my kids aren't in soccer. :) If they can't make all the games start after 10:30.... ferget it :)

Hey, soccer starts for us today. In fact in one hour! Gotta go!

Could you AT LEAST make us some coffee before you start with the schedule? Sheesh.

YIKES! 7 a.m. Whew...no more late night partying for you on Fridays missy.

I woke up at 7 too, but not for games and slumber party. Just forgot to turn it off. *yawn*

Whoa. No wonder we didn't see you this morning at the bloggy thing. You were being a responsible, busy mom and stuff!

Missed you!

We don't call you busymom for nothing! Well, actually, we call you busymom b/c that's what you demand of us, but the name seems to fit. And I love a slumber party! Can't wait til my daughter is old enough for one. But then, I probably won't be invited, will I? Hmph.

Soccer mom, SUV-driving, cell phone listening, red light running dangers to society.

I think some one needs to take a nap in your honor...and being the volunteer sort of person I am...zzzzzzzzzz
P:)

I was so happy because we had no activities going on this morning. I slept and slept . .

Hmm...I don't think you have enough to do there today. Make sure you throw in an oil change and a pedicure, okay?

oh my god, pass the prozac and the bottle!

And now I suppose you want us to think you're going to be busy. What a loafer....

Yeah, we had 7 eight year old girls over Sunday night for a slumber party. They stayed up till 5AM if you can believe that!
I woke them up at 10 because I still had a craft for them to do and their moms were coming at 11

I have it SO easy compared to you. I JUST had to have my 5 and 12 yo the baseball field by 9, big boy game from 10-12, t-ball game from 11-12 (frantically running back and forth so neither boy would notice I was not sitting there the whole time), big boy second game of double header from 12-2, straight to sister-in-law's baby shower from the ballpark (20 min late). Who knew that a replica MLB jersey, blue jean shorts, tennis shoes, and badly wind-blown hair are not proper attire for a baby shower???!! Today we have 2 birthday parties - think I already have gifts bought and wrapped? Hah!

I say this everytime I see you, but, when I read things like this, or when I pass the ballfield at 9:00 on a school night and see it full of kids.....I'm glad my kids gave up sports.
