Fast eater, but I think it is because as a teacher I have to be a fast eater. I'm aggravated with myself during the summer when I find myself eating at lightning speed for no reason.
Fast at work, slow everywhere else.
Speaking of, we need to have lunch soon.
My mom, who held the B-Mo franchise in the 50s and 60s, felt compelled to not only wait on the rest of the family during the entire meal and clear the table, 2/10ths of a second after the last bite touched the last biter's lips, could eat a two-scooped dish of ice cream in around 4 seconds. Never saw anything quite like it...my sister and i thought she had mystical powers.
I occasionally would try to dump my squash casserole onto my sister's plate in the same amount of time, but my multi-tasking busy-body mom ALWAY caught me.
Thanks to my mom's diligence in cleaning up and off the table, I developed quick eating habits..
It depends how many people are dissing my food and have to be reprimanded, which slows my eating.
On Lemon Chicken Pasta night, we're all fast eaters!
If there is a lot of conversation, all four of us are slow eaters. But, it can change daily, depending on necessity!
I inhale my food. I eat so fast you can barely see it on the plate before it's all tucked away in my tummy. I do so for two reasons. I'm from a large family with many children. If you didn't eat fast, you never got seconds. So stuffing the food down your throat as fast as you can allows you to grab more off the table. Also, as a former teacher, I only got 15 minutes for lunch before I had to do 'lunch duty'. It took at least 5 minutes to pee, get to the teacher's room, and then I had all of 10 minutes to eat, chat, and get into the caf. That experience just ruined me for leisurely dining.
But, when I'm in a restaurant, I am S L O W because I want to cherish every second of someone else's cooking!
I have seven screws and a plate in my mouth, so I eat very slow. Also, ice cream is a bitch, but i do love it.
Fast, thank you USAF. (it's amazing what ALWAYS being the last one to eat in Basic will do for your eating speeds. That's not a good thing, BTW)
Fast. And I only eat one thing at a time. Usually starting with side items first. But I don't have a problem with the food touching.
F A S T ! !
I can't get it in my mouth fast enough!!
I think that would depend on what you are eating!
mediocre eater.
Fast -- wouldn't want the food to get away from me.
Embarrassingly fast, yet not as fast as my parents. Perhaps it's hereditary.
Very slow... but still faster than my mother..
Faster... and I'm fat to show from it.
fast eater, working on slowing down. I was just told to chew 30 x's, but it's hard.
I'm sorry to hear about your mom, I am an old blog reader that found you again.
nice to see you! ; )
Very fast eater. We don't take any time to eat lunch at work. We go down, pick up food in our restaurant, and go straight back up to our desks 8financial markets) and eat in front of the screens. I perfer this even though I can take lunch if I want to. An hour for lunch is a waste I think. We have tons of other benefits that makes up for this times ten.
At home I eat a bit slower and try to eat dinner with the family every day.

Fast?
Do I get a prize for finishing first?
waaay too fast! grew up wiping out a full steak dinner in 20 minutes! bad habit that stuck! : (
Fast eater! I don't want someone to steal my food from me!
Slow. Except for ice cream -- then VERY fast!
I am a fast eater. It is a habit I picked up from my mom. It comes from years of being the last to sit down (usually because you have made, or are at least helping serve the meal), and then the first to get up (to clear the dishes).
Fast Eater. I am the youngest of six siblings, when I was growing up, (shit, same geezer status forming here) you either ate or there was none left for ya....I'm usually the first one finished and ready to clean up while the family is enjoying their food.

oops... fast with the post button too, apperently. Sorry.
I'm slow, but my husband is fast. He's usually done by the time I get back with the ketchup that I forgot to put on the table to begin with...
Fast because I was one of six kids and was hoping for seconds.
Both - depending on the time allowed, and the circumstances. I prefer to eat slow, but that isn't always possible.
Fast eater, often standing and directing the activity of small humans at the same time.
Moderately fast...mostly depends on what I'm eating. This next thing will make you very jealous (and everyone else) ...brace yourself...I am married to THE slowest eater on the planet. I am not kidding or exaggerating. Ok, maybe I am...there is only one person on earth who eats slower than he and that is his father.
Very fast, and not happy about it. I am thin, but how long will that last?
