A surgery a day keeps the...um...something...something away

Today is my dad's surgery (a lumbar laminectomy).

It's not until this afternoon, so I don't know when I can get to a computer to tell you how it went. You all know that Minor Medical Center, as fancy as it is, doesn't have wireless access, so I have to fire up the dial-up.

Or send smoke signals, which, may in fact, be faster.

I was just thinking about this and coming over to check on things and wish your dad well! Keep us posted later today. I'll send a courier pigeon over from Brentwood if needed.

Sending good thoughts and prayers to you and your dad today. Hope all goes smoothly.

Sending good surgery vibes your way!

Godspeed to you and the busy-back.

To a non-medical person such as myself (band-aids are as far as I go) the lumbar laminectomy sound suspiciously made up - as in an excuse I'd use to go purse shopping instead of going to work. But, since you have that RN and all, and your boss would totally catch on, I'll trust that this is not made up ;)

Wishing wonderful surgery thoughts for your dad - it's got to end up good since this is officially a "better week".

Lumbar laminectomy sounds remarkably close to lobotomy. All those L words I just can't keep track of . . .laproscopy . . . liliputian . . . lamdia . . . laxidazical

Good luck today.

Praying that all goes well and that it works!!!
