Even more computer talk

As of now, ye olde laptop (it doesn't have a name, do you name your computers?) works for a while, but, then it doesn't.

However, I think I've narrowed the problem down to the wireless card or it's driver. I just don't quite know how to fix it, yet.

I'm boring myself with this talk, too. I just want it to work!

In other news, anybody know anyplace that has knock-off Wallabees (low cut)?

Surely, not every kid who has them has the Clark's brand, right? I can't find fake ones anywhere.

I can't believe they're back in style, but, they are in full force. I wish I had kept mine from the 70's.

i bought a pair of knock-off wallabees at rack-room shoes last year. i think they were $30, but that particular store was closing so they were 50% off.

good luck with the wallabees and your laptop. it sucks to have computer issues, but it sucks eve more to have them with the wrong shoes!

The Dollar General store here has knockoff wallabees. I just noticed them Tuesday while shopping there.

Did you try Off B'way? I got a great pair of knock off Danskos there and they are every bit as good as my real ones.

My puter is named Shaniqua. I name lots of things though. Each one of my cars (Oatmeal, Queen Elizabeth, Petey, Betty and currently, Vega$), my digital camera, my tv... does that make me weird?

My home PC is named Murray. I don't name my work computers, as I try to keep my work and personal lives separate. :)

Yes, I name my computers, as you may guess, the names of the current machines are Mocha (wife's computer), Latte (LatteGirl's), TripleVenti (my laptop), Decaf (Linux Desktop), ShortShot (Win 98 Desktop) and Barista (Win 2k3 Server)

Didn't Hush Puppies make something like these (years ago)?

I name mine after USAF test programmes

So my current Macbook is Valkyrie (XB-70)
my powerbook was Aurora (mythical followon to the SR-71)

If I ever get a desktop, I'll call it Lancer, (B-1B)

What are the symptoms of the "not working", and is this a built-in wireless card, or third party?

How funny that Wallaby shoes have been mega popular on this side of the state and down in Mississippi for about 5 years now. I have seen brands other than Clarks (I don't know what they are), but mostly I see the Clarks ones around school.

What about these from Target?

Oh, and if you are wanting for yourself, Yellow Box (good selection at Parisian at Cool Springs) has some Wallabyesque shoes that I LOVE like these or these or these. However I think these and these look most like the traditional Wallaby.

Hope I haven't loaded you down with links!

**cought by the comment spamanator for too many links, so I'll make it into 2 posts**

tried to comment again with SEVERAL links, but it was caught by the spamanator, I suppose. Check your email for my comment for some more Wallaby shoe links...I think I tried to post it 3 times before it dawned on me that 5 links is probably too many. haha.

I've seen those at Target and Payless. Good luck with your hunt!

N.O. Teen is obsessed with Harry Potter/Daniel Radcliff and she has an h/p laptop for school, so she named it Harry.

something else that seems to be coming back in style is the afro!

we're on our way back to the 70's folks! hold on tight, it'll be a scary ride!

I know what you mean. They all talk of Drivers, and I just think, "Minnie"

Yes I name my computer. Her name is Jaine.

If you can'r find them at Payless, maybe Zappos.com? I've seen them around too, but I think they were Clarks...

Um

Those are in style? For who? Crap. I haven't seen them out here in the Northwest.

I had to buy my kid Heelys. HEELYS of all things. I can't believe Heely's are a 'must have'.

BusyMom- head over to AtomicTumor's site...things have taken a turn.

Hey lahdeeda, what the heck is a Heely? Busy Mom, I say check Wally World or Target. Us Okies are just now starting to wear them... geez, Diva will want them now...

I'd never even heard of a Wallabee, let alone know that their in style.
Thanks!

oh also. i don't usually name my computers, but my external hard drive is named Zbigniew (after Zbigniew Zamachowski -- star of the KK movie "White.") because it's so, uh, BIG.

those are back in style?

eeeeek.

the depth of my knowledge is several centimeters this morning. ha.

hopefully we won't see a resurrection of the prairie skirt.

I was juston a site that told me leg warmers were back in too...
