I promise I'll drop this soon, but, it's a big week at the comic strip For Better or For Worse. Liz confirmed l-u-v between Paul and Susan.
Oddly, I don't feel sorry for Liz. Sure, she's upset, but, it's not like she put in a lot of time into this relationship other than an e-mail or two. Paul should have spoken up earlier, but, I don't think he did anything awful. But, I still don't like him for some reason, anyway.
I'm rooting for fly-boy Warren, but, it ain't gonna happen, is it?
Now, that it's getting exciting, it'll probably go back to John and his trains next week.
OK, I'm home with a sick Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby, and, it's not conducive to doing anything requiring a modicum of concentration.
I'll be back later, don't go far, OK?
While you are waiting, go see what I've resolved to do at both GenBetween and Career and Kids for 2007 at the Blog Carnival at Inside Motherhood

I'm rooting for her to get back with the old beau from high school (can't remember his name for the life of me - menopause you know!). I think that would be great.
I better check out the comic!
I have a sickie at home too. Hot chocolate with marshmallows works. Try to stay healthy yourself!

I don't blame him for seeing Susan, and I agree that Liz didn't seem to put much into it. But I think he should have told her before she dragged herself all the way up north to see him. Guess he figured face-to-face was better, but I'm not buying it. As for Warren, we don't really know him very well, do we? Except that he shows up when it's convenient for him. He is better looking than Anthony, but I'm still not convinced he's a better match.
If you're up for more comics you'd might as well get going reading ZITS now - I can pretty much confirm that Jeremy will help you feel like your own son is wacked out. I swear they're watching my house.... Gameboy should be renamed to Jeremy.
I had high hopes for Paul, but as soon as Liz said she wanted to return home last spring, I knew that was pretty much going to be it. Susan was just the nail in the coffin. Still, I thought Paul was better than this.
Warren is barely in the strip, so barring a big change in his status - like a permanent job near Liz - I'm thinking Anthony's going to make another move on Liz.
AFter getting all my names straightened out (you'd never guess that this is one of my reasons for my newspaper subscription, this strip and my Sudoku puzzle), I'm so caught up on this. It is better than Days of our Lives at this point. i wish they'd publish them ahead on the website so I could get this anxiety over already!
I saw that one coming a mile away as soon as Susan moved into town. I, too, am rooting for Anthony.
Hi! I just read in our newpaper that Lynn, the creator of FBOW was going to stop the aging process of the family and do something different. She was going to do a huge series of flashbacks. That means no new story lines! AUGH!!! So when she starts that...as old as the family is..that's as old as they are going to be. WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THAT?? I LOVE FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE AND THIS IS SOOOOO NOT CONVENIENT FOR ME!! I think we should start a national protest!!!
:)

There are apparently tons of chat rooms and discussion boards about FBoFW, but I have avoided them because I just don't have time for another obsession.
That said, I'm also trying to figure out what the deal is with the storyline/end of aging thing. I hope Lynn concludes the storylines she's been building up to (John getting his little house, Mike and Dee moving into the Patterson house, April becoming a vet, Anthony/Warren and Liz, etc.) before she stops moving forward.
THAT said (thank you for calling the Redundancy Department of Redundancy), there are so many stories behind the stories that made it into the strip...she's mentioned a lot of them in the behind the scenes books. Hopefully we'll get to see some of those, because a lot of them are better than what's going on now.

From the first frame, when Warren offers the ride, I have been wondering if he knew, and wanted Liz to know what he knew, you know. So, did he set her up? And if so, was it better than having it play out as Paul says he had planned
I was rooting for Paul, but now my hopes are on FlyBoy Warren. Because I'm shallow and hate Anthony's mustache. Also his storyline with his hideous wife was too lame.
I used to love Anthony but I think his time as Elizabeth's lover ended when he decided to get married.
Warren showed up and proved that he is a pretty nice guy who doesn't try rushing anything, so I am now rooting for him. Warren has liked Elizabeth for a long while now, but she never really gave him a chance. So I hope, before the artist decided to end the strip, she will actually give Warren a chance to seriously date Liz.
