It's the time of year where the only socially acceptable reply to any statement regarding a person's ill health is, "It's going around."
You're covered in hot pink spots, and, spouting decaf coffee from the backs of your knees?
"It's going around".
Only able to speak in geometry proof statements, and, grew a third nostril?
"It's going around."
As you are probably more than aware, Busy Girl and Busy Boy have both been sick, and, I've got it, too.
These symptoms are much less interesting, mostly a severe sore throat that's not strep, headache, painful to cough up neon green gunk.
You don't really feel all that bad except for the throat thing, and, that's the first thing people say when describing whatever virus this is.
So far, this morning, in addition to both my older kids: the guy who fixed my flat tire, the guy in the market, both preschool teachers, the food delivery guy at preschool (what you don't chat with the delivery people at school?), and, the lady next to me on the shuttle all reported the same thing (you know it when you talk about the throat part, maybe you had to be there).
Maybe it's officially "going around".

That is usually followed up with the infamous statement. "We (our house) just got over it." Which, of course, we did.
Hope you feel better.
Sending you good thoughts!
(from a safe distance.)
Ditto what Judy said--only it's still lingering at our house. And it's been four weeks. And I'm sooo tired of neon green gunk!
Hope you recover more quickly. :-)
Makes me glad that my daughter's sore throat DID turn out to be strep. It's "going around" too, but at least it's treatable! Here's hoping the whole Busy Household is back up and about soon.
Maybe it is "going around" because you are getting around. I mean after all, everybody YOU speak to... is sick. ;)
QUIT BREATHING ON ME OVER HERE!
We've got it, too, now. Starting with the 2 year old. Lovely patient that he is, you know.
