It had went on my last nerveDear Internet:
The past tense conjugation of the word "go":
I went
you went
she went
we went

The pluperfect conjugation of the word "go":
I had GONE
you had GONE
she had GONE
we had GONE
they had GONE
That is all.

Not sure what to say about the grammar lesson. Except maybe, thanks. It's been awhile since I've brushed up on the pluperfect.
Could you do a brief synopsis of the proper use of lie/lay AND their conjugated forms?
I don't remember pluperfect when I goed to school ;-)
It's a southern thang, eh? At least, that's where I always heard it.
Lemme aks you somethin. You mean 'goed' ain't the right use o tha language?
Oh snap!
Don't get me started on "lay". That's my favorite word. ...granted I don't have much use for it, nowadays....
Uhhh, did we, the Internet, do something wrong? We're sorrrrrrryyyyyy!
Now, admittedly I understand why you omitted it, but since I am in a bit of a snarky mood today...
You skipped You (Plural) in your conjugations. :)
I
You
He
We
YOU
They
So technically it would be
I went
You went
He Went
WE Went
YOU Went
They Went
Except for certain parts of the south where the You Plural is converted into Y'all Went. :)
(End of Northern Snark)
I know, I know. Have you ever seen GrammarGirl.com?
Thank you very much for tackling this important issue.
Next, you can cover the proper uses of: "it's" and "its" then move on to "they're" "there" & "their."
LOL!
Both my mother and SIL say "he don't" rather than "he doesn't." It drives me absolutely crazy.
Now you've done gone and done it!
My 14 year old pointed out this incorrect usage to me just a few days ago. I was glad she caught it, because I sometimes think if you are raised in the south, you don't "get" that particular grammar lesson....
A very commonly misconjugated verb--and one that makes me cringe. Who says that English is easy OR regular? Don't forget less or fewer? I hate when ads say that something has "less calories." EEK.
I love it when the title of your post alone makes me laugh. :P
So, like, what's you tryin to say?
Could you do a comma lesson? I need comma help?
I have tooken your advice and I'm glad I have went here to find it.
Thankseversomuch.
Good info.
Thank you for posting this.
Ciao!
Very interesting info.
