Deep thoughtsThe bug, who so desperately wanted to get out of the car, who finally flew through the open window, but, who tried to fly right back inside, ought to be a metaphor for something, I'm just not sure what.

Being a parent I think!
Hmm, could it be a metaphor on parenthood. You know always changing our minds?
Just when I think I'm free, they pull me right back in again. I'm feeling a lot like that lately - must be a 'mom' thing.
Bugs aren't very bright. Maybe a metaphor for addiction, though. You know you SHOULDN'T fly into the open window or the light or towards the crack or booze, but you can't help yourself.
It is a metaphor for my last relationship. I kept leaving and going back. Fortunately, I finally got swatted with a big fly swatter, and I was reincarnated (not that I really believe in that stuff) as a somewhat intelligent human being who can discern bullcrap when she hears it.
Great, now I can't get that "Rubber Tree Plant" song out of my head!
Not to get too political but it brought to mind our current efforts in Iraq?!
I'm certain this is a metaphor for 'needing a vacation fast'... but then, you could get all Freudian and it would be really crazy!
Adolescent children turning into young adults?
They can't wait to get out of the house, then they keep trying to get back in for meals, laundry, money, etc.
Or it could just be that bugs have very tiny brains. ie. They're stupid.
It made me think of my kids: "letme out letme out letme out! letme in letme in letme in!"
(Checking the sign on the door) have I just walked into the movie the Last Samurai?
It's a demonstration of the principles behind a successful boomerang throw.
The grass is always greener...
HAHAHA That is funny. But I honestly don't know what a metaphor is so I won't try.
Oh, you should really listen to Wynonna's song (not sure of the name) "sometimes, you're the windshield...sometimes you're the bug..."
