Doing them would require energy, I guess.

Things I need to do or get, but, for no discernible reason, can't seem to get off my keister and do or get them:

1. Watch battery - I have just quit wearing a watch because mine needs a battery.

2. Trouser socks - I wear them to work, and, every pair I own is beyond pathetic, yet, I am paralyzed at the thought of getting new ones.

3. Eye make-up remover - No idea why I am resisting buying it.

4. Clean out purse - so bad in there, if I were in a wreck they may not be able to figure out who I am.

5. Open thingy I got for Mother's Day that lets you listen to your iPod through car speakers - I can't wait to use it, yet, I have not actually opened it, figured it out, and, taken it to the car. It is apparently, more than I can do.

6. New pair of black pants - I really, really need a new pair of black pants. These are horrendously faded, they are nearly green, yet, I persist in wearing them rather than look for a new pair.

I know not to do this, I'll make fun of you if you do it, yet, I can't seem to go get another pair.

Sad, huh?

Okay, you MUST make time for you. Take a friend and go shopping for a few hours. Have some coffee get you some good pants, go to Target for the battery and socks. Avon has a great make up remover or Target sells some good kinds. I had to do this last month. Me-time and it was good for all parties involved. I will always go Target-ing if you don't have anyone else and have you seen the new one in Mt. Juliet - it has a Starbucks inside.

A few years back (before I saw Sasha Cohen pimpin' 'em on TV) I used my Christmas money for a Citizen watch with EcoDrive. NO BATTERIES REQUIRED. It uses solar energy to power it. So, I guess the only requirement for it to work is that you not be a vampire, or at least set the watch out of the coffin while you're resting. :P But, seriously, have never had a single complaint about this watch and it's been a few good years.

The black pants! I can't believe someone else has the same problem with buying a new pair. My problem tops yours, though - I need new black pants but I also need new navy pants! Yet I keep wearing the old ones because I hate trying to find a pair that is the right length (I'm short, I hate hemming!) but that also fits and feels good on my chubby body (notice I didn't say "looks good" - that's hopeless!). Good luck with your quest for obtaining/doing everything on your list.

I think you tossed out the trouser socks and the pants together to DRIVE ME CRAZY.

Give up the socks. Buy some pants. Then come shop with me in Chicago . . .

I need new jeans. Can you pick me up a pair? Everytime I go out to the store -- and I mean everytime -- I look for my size. No dice. Kohl's has great black pants (but no jeans). And Target has great socks (but no jeans). And for the make up remover? Use Baby Oil. So much better. Seriously. I'm 45 and have no wrinkles.

I need black pants. I need new batteries for the phone-- some funky kind of batteries from Target. I need to replace the AC filter but I keep forgetting to see what size it is. I have 2 thank you notes to write.

I actually CHANGED purses yesterday and I LOVE my iPod through the car dohickey. Do you have a handy kid who will do this for you?? Porter handles all my fix-it needs.

Shopping in Chicago? Yes please! I'll be there end of June for work conference. :-)

And what is the DEAL with the trouser socks and the losing of the elasticity and the drooping and the sagginess? And the losing of the match to the pair of the good ones that still exist?

I would be paralyzed by #6 alone. Medics would have to be called, life saving measures taken. I don't do pants shopping too well.

however I can solve all jean shopping issues with that zafu site.

Black dye is your friend.....No need to buy new pants.

de lurking to say "hi", and tell you, I have this beautiful Coach watch I have needed to send away to get a new battery in for 3 years now.
And have just been carrying everything in my pockets because I don't have the energy to switch purses. Because both, quite clearly are way too much work.

from one busy mom to another:

that workplace of ours has an errand service that will replace watch batteries. you should try it.

however, I do not think that they do personal shopping, so stop at Target (either one, your choice) and get yourself some new damn socks.

LOL! Let's see:
1) I stopped wearing watches because of this very thing. I just use my cell phone.
2) Ay-yi-yi - all my trouser socks have holes in them. I wear them two or three times and then that's it, holes.
3) I use Olay Daily Facials cloths. Washes my faces, removes my make-up. Love it!
4) Um yeah, when you get yours done wanna come do mine?
5) FM transmitter? Do It!! Stop procrastinating and get that thing out. They rock!
6) For me it was jeans. I had holes(again with the holes!) in um, places where you don't want holes in my last pair. I basically avoided wearing them for weeks and weeks until I finally forced myself to go and get new ones.

YOu had me ROTFLMAO. I have perpetually thought I was the only wacko in blogoworld. I can barely keep my act together on a daily basis.

Sometimes, I'm naughty and say naughty things like shi.. you know the word...because I'm mad. OK. shouldn't do it. But I have a kid with speical needs...and I have to work........and I'M WACKED.

ITS ALL I CAN DO TO GET THROUGH THE DAY...

SO I FIND YOUR BLOG.....BECAUSE I CUT MY FOOT BECAUSE OF THE GLASS ON THE FLOOR BECAUSE I WANTED A CUP OF COFFEE..

And low and behold......I run into you!!! And I get to laugh........now if you visit me......I had all these freaking meme and other stuff....if you get past them.........there is some good stuff..........but you made me feel like I'm not crazy. So I have to put you on my blogroll. Because I need shortcuts in my life.........And you are great!!!!!!!!!!

That's okay - SOMEONE sitting near me (don't want to tell who, but his name begins with a T and ends with yler) needs to have his pants changed, and yet here I sit - so sad!

Eh, I have a list like that. You know what's really really bad? I don't even have the energy to actually write down all of the things like that that I have to do =] I don't think I commented here before, but I figured a post on procrastination? There's few things that I'm more familiar with than that.

Okay, truly.
1) Watch battery- I even asked for one for mother's day, to no relief.
2)Trouser socks- I find that I keep accidentally wearing my husband's black dress socks, thinking they are mine. And I don't figure this out until it is waaaay too late.
3)There is no way that I would take the time to dye new pants, much as that seems like a good idea. With my luck, it would leach into the fabric softener dispenser part of the washing machine and everything thereafter would be streaked with black. So nope. I will shop instead, thanks bunches!

I haven't wore a watch for 13 years. It started when pager was all the rage, and that summer LA was really really hot. I stopped wearing one and got used to it. Now i just look at time on my cell.

I cannot bring myself to clean out the kid's closet and get rid of all the old, not fitting stuff. I think about it every day. And I just cannot bring myself to do it. I am stuck. But I did finally sign and send the three cards I had sitting around. Whoo-hoo!

OK, maybe if we give you a gold star for every day that you can mark one of these items off your list... and at the end you can invite us all to the party room at McDonalds :)

When doing stuff like this seems like work (which is what it sounds like), then it MUST BE PUT OFF. There's nothing wrong with you. You are normal. Everybody else is out of step.

I tried 3 different FM transmitters for my iPod and they were all simply horrible. Static and poor reception - so not worth it!

Ha! I almost ordered an iPod car thingy for Mother's Day but ended up ordering a loading dock/radio thingy for my iPod, so that I can listen to it in my bathroom and in the kitchen!

Let me know how the car thingy works- I'm planning on getting one next.

See you on the soccer fields! You're going down, gurl!

This was absolutely hilarious. So it's NOT just me. I have not worn my Movado watch for over 2 years just because it needs a battery. And I also need some eye makeup remover - I'm positive I'm stretching the skin on my eyes by scraping a washcloth over it several times to remove the traces of eyeliner (on the occasions I actually put any ON).

Thanks so much for the laugh. But of everything on that list, PLEASE get the black pants taken care of. PLEASE.

I just went through the watch battery thing... it sat on the counter for weeks. Then, I went all out and got a battery. PLUS I asked my husband to install the new watch band I got for it months ago when he put the battery in. It's basically a whole new watch. In fact, I could have just bought a whole new one!!

Busy Mom needs to go to the mall!

OMG... I have a list like that, twice as long. I have so much laundry to do right now that I've just bought more clothes.
