What up, mah peeps?
Kids are officially out of school, Busy Girl is currently hosting a party.
I'm possibly going to hell for disabling Internet on desk computer as one of her friends would be on it through the entire party if I let her.
I'm letting them believe it is "down".
Well, it's actually been down about once a day now for several days, but, it's OK, now.
How Comcastic.
Wonder why none of the kids have asked me what I'm doing here on the laptop right in front of them?
In other news, boys are way easier to host than girls.
The moment is here, The Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby graduates preschool this evening.
After 6pm CST, you may address him as The Not Yet Kindergartener Formerly Known as the Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby.
Or not.
Two and a half hours is a really long time. It's getting longer, I think the clock is running backward.
What can I say that's not about this party? The same party that only has 35 minutes to go?
Let's see, I love The Gossip song, "Listen Up!" (it's a music video, it has sound), how about you?

CONGRATS formerly BusyBaby.....hope the party was a good one!! School's out here too
Do you have some kind of macro that types in The Not Yet Kindergartener Formerly Known as the Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby whenever you need it? Personally, I used cut and paste. Anyway, congrats to him and I hope everyone survives the party all right. Funny thing about the Internet being down on the desktop but not the laptop, but y'know, those things happen sometimes.
Awwww...I liked it when he was BusyBaby! I feel old. Good luck with the GirlParty. Only have BoyParties myself and I always count the minutes!
And what a special moment it will be, when the pre-schoolers stand together and sing, "Gaudeamus Igitur."
One hopes you were able to deceive your daughter's guests about the condition of your internet connection for the remainder of the party. If you do have Comcast, that probably should have been relatively easy....
Mine are still in school til next Thursday - I'm enjoying E.V.E.R.Y. minute I can until then! Congrats to TNYKFKATPFKABB!
Ah summer.
I love the heat, sweat, and the trips.
Let them enjoy the summer. Some parents try to send their kids to summer school. Don't do this. Let them have fun such as going on camping trips and spending time with relatives out of state.
I honestly have been trying to come up with a new name and can't come up with anything.
Let the fun times begin, eh?
Congrats to all, especially The Not Yet Kindergartener Formerly Known as the Preschooler Formerly Known as Busy Baby (TNYKFKATPFKABB)...girl, he needs a new moniker!
I see some kids hanging out with friends, but so obsessed with the computer or internet that they are ignoring everyone and everything except that. Others are sitting there texting while they could be talking and laughing with the people they are actually with. It blows me away!
Maybe you can just come up with some symbol (ala Prince) for TNYKFKATPFKABB...otherwise, that's just wayyy to long to type, lol!!
tell them you have a PC card
Okay, you are brave to host that pre-teen party. My thirteen year old daughter is also at that age when friends must come over. How many times can you hear squeals and not think someone is dying in the basement. At least the boys haven't appeared at the parties...probably next year...heaven help me.
Good luck with the first week of summer. We still have two weeks. I'm going to enjoy every second of the next couple of weeks...then I'll enjoy the summer in a different way after that!
I just stumbled across your blog and have just fallen in love with it. Will definitely put it on my reading list every week. Enjoy your kids now that they're out of school, or enjoy them even more if you're shipping them off to summer camp (sleep away camp is awesome for all involved). Have a great party and keep up the awesome posts. Cheers!
Oh, I am sorry, TNYKFKATPFKABB? I'm pretty sure that breaks some sort of acronym laws. :)
Do you mind if I just call him Busy-K?
(Busy-Kindergartener)
All my eldest daughter's parties involved dressing up in someone else's clothes and make-up and eating food and giggling. She's 23 now. The little girlies' parties involve lots of running and giggling and dressing up in someone else's clothes and jewelry (no make-up). Very simple.
My son's parties? Eat and play football or eat and go bowling or eat and play video games.
Congrats to the rugrat for "graduating".
