Demanding truth in toilet paper

Dear toilet paper manufacturers:

I didn't "really got 36 rolls", I got 18.

If I buy 2 packages, then, and, only then, will I have 36.

Love,
Busy Mom

I agree. Buying toilet paper is a pain. You have to stand there 10 minutes sorting through their lies of "really" how many rolls you get. Everyone has the double and triple rolls that they count as 2 and 3 rolls. Just tell me how many actual rolls, sheets, and ply!

I got so confused, I finally just quit trying to figure it out. When I'm at the grocery store, I just go down the toilet paper aisle, buy the brand I always use and get on with my shopping. As long as we have enough to make it through the week, I'm good. Usually, we don't run out, although sometimes....

Somebody MUST get to the bottom of this.

As long as my bathroom closet is stocked to the top with toilet paper, I leave the calculations alone. LOL

We must measure the rolls, we must weigh the rolls, we must get scientific analyses as to softness and absorbability (squeeze 'em!) and then we buy the ones we have the coupon for!

And in a house full of girls, they go FAST!

I go directly for the "Unit cost" on the shelf and work from there, ignoring only certain "too cheap" brands that are made with tree bark.

The number of rolls, plys, etc can be "fluffed" any way they want. But the unit cost tells the true story.

My son unrolled an entire roll of TP the other day and decided to flush it down the toilet... I'm installing one of those beda things tomorrow. Then I'm outlawing toilet paper in our house. Should be interesting :)

OMG a whole roll I would have pulled my hair out!!!!!!!!!!!

I just send my hubby to costco and let him pick it up. He hates shopping so much he just grabs the biggest case. This works well with mini-pads and ladies shave gel. It might not be cheaper, but it sure saves me a headache!

1000 sheets really does last longer. Scott Tissue Rules. My son and my brother-in-law(huh?) are the only ones who've complained about texture and since they are BOYS (and only one of them LIVES here) I say who cares? Oh, and I buy a 12 pack every time I go to Target--which isn't as often as it used to be...sigh,but that's another story.

Dear "taken-for-granted" consumer,

We are simply trying to live down to Cheryl Crowe's advice.

Sincerely,

Mr. Charmin

Maybe they just don't know how to count.

Cas
I agree with the Groovy Old Lady - go with the one with the coupon.

I hear ya! Never fail...I always come home and think..."Didn't I buy 48 rolls??"

Thanks for the good chuckle this morning!!
